You are very lucky. Chinese is one of the languages on my bucket list. It's French, Korean, Japanese and Chinese at the moment. In that order.
So good. Found it first at my library and loved it so I bought it.

You could probably find the series super cheap if you went, it's common for bookshops to sell volumes of older series for around 100 yen each.
I watch some kdramas occasionally but I haven't been able to pick up on the language as well as I did with Japanese, Korean uses so many vowels and my brain just can't quite make sense of the words :<

Oooh. That would be cool. I might try to buy volume one on Amazon or something. I own all the currently out books in English but it's such a great manga I'd like to own it in Japanese too.
I love historical k dramas!!!!! I binge watch them and get very sad when I don't have a new one.
I'm not doing bad. The same author of the Japanese book I recommended also has a Korean one

I probably have an advantage in that sense since I don't really know any Asian languages well enough to make it harder. :)

Ooh thank you! Maybe a properly structured book will be of more help to me, I haven't really tried to learn Korean properly, I managed to pick up a lot of Japanese just by watching anime so I kinda expected the same to happen here but it didn't.

Yup. The mangaka hurt her wrist so I think that has slowed her down but the last chapter literally came out like 3 days ago?
It might. I did that when I watched anime a lot. It truly does help but you also need to study as well or else you miss a lot. I have picked up quite a few words from my dramas though. I can sometimes understand a little when there are no subtitles.

It will probably take me awhile with ACOMAF. This will be the third time I try to finish it. Lets hope I can do it this time haha. (I always start it over because I never remember where I left off so it will count).

These are the 2 books I'm starting with, but I probably won't start til tomorrow because we are celebrating my dad's birthday today.

Awesome!
I have a 2019 book I was going to start soon. My reading order right now is:

I'll also be reading my French HP book and listening to the English audio but those don't count. ^_^

Awesome. That works well because then we can concentrate on just filling the missing spots. ^_^

I think that would be the best spot right now. :)

Just saw a very small cat like maybe only 1-2 yeas old almost or maybe even did get hit by a car! I'm still in shock. Seems to be okay. Couldn't find it and it ran off.

OMG! I hope the kitty is okay.

Bonus Goals:
Read 25 pages of my French HP book.
Listen to some of my HP 2 book.
Read some manga. Probably

I have work in a couple hours, but I am still hoping to catch up on my buddy read for

Woohoo!
I found that series hard to get into as well. The first book was like a 3 star for me. Sad. It seems really good but then the writing or something throws me off.

It is completely different from the

Oh yeah Kanji is a pain, I'm lucky in that I can speak/read a fair bit of Chinese already so I can make a pretty good guess for a lot of Kanji. I do still find it extremely tricky since the meanings of the same characters can be different between the languages.
Thank you for the recommendation, I will check it out! :D
