Now I'm still out because my girls father herniated 4 disks in my neck and I have PTSD. When I recover fully, I am going to start doing some kind of advocacy work because, honestly, this is bullshit!!

Thanks Emily, I missed it sooooo much, but I was having extreme cognitive difficulties when I was sick. So far this year I've almost caught up with the amount of books I read in total last year! What's an iron???! ;-)
and
I'm not entirely sure how an iron works myself, but I believe it's a kind of retro piece of furniture...
But in actual fact, I do technically know how to iron, I just don't do it. I think my ironing average is at approximately one item a year...

Ana! I taught for a year, then went back to school to get my MBA... and ended up back in the classroom teaching high school economics (for college credit at a private school). I love my job so much, and it makes the student loan debt to get my MBA worth it haha.

I'm pretty sure my iron is broken. I have a steamer collecting dust on the top of my refrigerator LOL.

Haha, irons are still pretty common where I'm from.

I think I might give this a shot! I've just been using clothes that don't need ironing, but then I'll be in trouble when I need something formal to wear.

Emily wrote: "Ana! I taught for a year, then went back to school..."
Nice! I might do that too. I'll figure it out after I finish my MBA.
Years ago, my mother-in-law was visiting and helped with the laundry. She took my husband's permanent-press shirts out of the dryer and said she wanted to touch up the collars. (They looked fine to me.) She asked me where my iron was and I didn't know! that was pretty embarrassing. If clothes are wrinkled, I will put them back through the washer and dryer rather than iron them. My mother did teach me to iron when I was young, but now I am more likely to use an iron for a craft project.
Simply list 5 things that the group may not know about you.
