Charley really doesn't fear danger. Either that or she just blatantly ignores it. :-) I understand her need to fight for the greater good, but keeping secrets from Reyes and going to visit a scary crime-lord by herself is just a bit too much on the "WTF" scale. I give her major credit for having the courage to do what she does, but man I understand Reyes's need to follow her everywhere! lol

She definitely pushes boundaries, Constantly. I definitely see why Reyes gets so pissed at her sometimes! Although she did try to get Swopes to back her up. I want to know what Beep said to Reyes!

How would beep be? I mean to say... Will beep be more like Reyes or Charley??

I get why she does it though. She's used to being completely independent and doesn't like the feeling of having a babysitter. The adjustment seems to be a lot for her.

Yes, But she has to adjust faster now with beep on the way!!

Charley definitely doesn't have a sense of self-preservation most of the time. And she needs it, especially now that she has hell hounds after her and she's pregnant. I think I was more frustrated with her in this book because of this and she seemed a bit whiney during certain parts that I wanted to strangle her. She did pull it together in the end.

She does have to slow down and take care of herself more now.. Would she be able to slow down and let others take care of her?

Charley doesn't care much about danger, but truth be told, most supernatural beings keep telling her she is more powerful than all of them combined and then don't let her go anywhere alone. That must suck. She also purposely ignores danger as denial and ADD make it easier to cope with like that. At the same time, she feels guilty about Beep, so it definitely sounds like she is a work in progress in that department.

Charley is so used to dealing with things on her own that she keeps forgetting that there are people/friends who is willing to help her in that! It'll take some time for her to get used to that!
