I added The Sight, so now we wait for a reply on Lieke's book! Then we know how many Wild Cards we have for the remaining two levels!
So now I can finish my book if it can’t be used for sit and stay it will be the first book for dinosaur :)
Yaaasss! We're going for it!I am (re)starting Siege and Storm now, and it can work for a grand total of 1 Dinosaur prompt haha!
Lieke wrote: "I finished my book, now I just have to see where to put it :)"We´ll see what the mods answer.
But anyhow it means we´ve finished puppy level, right?!?

Yes it does!
Great work team. Everyone is going so well. I'm feeling a little bad that unfortunately life has got in the way for me and I've not been able to read as much as I usually do. So I've started A woman is no man for t-rex....but just 10% through.
Don’t feel bad- life happens 💜 Just remember that reading is the goal of this ‘thon. It’s supposed to be fun, so don’t stress about it 💜
Hooray! Great job, team! Dinosaurs, here we come! And don't stress, Bec! That happens for all of us - that's the joys of doing this as a team - we can cheer each other on, those who have more time can read a bit more to pick up the slack of those who haven't got as much time. And if life gets in the way for all of us and we're all a bit slower reading than usual - then so be it!! This week has been a bit crazy for me, what with one thing and another, but now I'm away for the weekend I thought I'd have plenty of time to read, however I've been walking by the water, swimming, and spending time with family, so I'm still not reading a whole lot!! But I'm enjoying what I am doing (and reading), and as Carmen said, that's the main thing!
I’ve just finished The Line of Beauty and added it to dinosaurs. I’m going to work now, but I should be able to finish The German Girl when I get home tonight.
Morning all
I had a bit of a slow day in the end, yesterday. Sadly, the answer from the mods was that I couldn't hold over Snows and use it in the next level.
However, today I intend to get through the other 84% of Undercover Amish, which has lots of options for dinosaurs. AE are very handy author initials!
As a thought, do we want to see where we are at the end of today, then Wild Card what's left - so we get to see what level five is?

That's not a bad idea, Trish... What do other people think? Slow day for me too, so I've got nothing to add today, sadly!!
I think it's a good idea. If someone is close to finishing a book tonight (European time) that fits let's wait for that and save the wildcard (this might be the case for me and my 'extinct' book). Then the rest can start reading for the next level, which I suspect we'll know about soon (feel the pressure, mods? ;) ).
Depending on whether or not we have family night tonight, I could finish two books today. One for ‘stomp’ and one that has a few more options. I like the idea of waiting until tonight. I’ll probably be up until late so I’ll have a clear view of what’s been read.
Since we’re still on 1/10 though I hope we can add some more today. Otherwise it seems a shame for the Wild Cards.
Carmen wrote: "@Johanne, the mystery level won’t be revealed to us until we’ve finished level 4!"Hi team!
Just checking in. If the 5th level is the same for all teams, I had a sneak peak in the spreadsheet for the Cocoa Pebbles team, hush ;)
Been a busy, busy week here, so I needed some fluff, that's all my brain is able to process right now. So I have picked up a Sophie Kinsella book, which I'll probably finish by the latest early tomorrow morning. It only works for one prompt for Dinasour (Jurassic Park) and none of the magical 5th level. So would love to be able to contribute that for the Dinasour level.
I think the ways to fit our books to the tasks were way to limited this RAT, so I am hoping they are not bringing this format back.

I know what you mean! Last time I joined, it was with the countries, and we blew through our continents and started on another team's ones! These are really tricky.
And I'm real curious to the magical level prompts! The Dinosaur level is going really slow it seems, but I do still hope to finish Siege and Storm today (stomp).
Don't forget that you still have all 10 of your Wild Cards left! I would strongly recommend using some of them up if you are eager to get to (and complete) the 5th level!

Yes, I remember the country one, that was fun!
Emily wrote: "Don't forget that you still have all 10 of your Wild Cards left! Hilde has one she'll finish at the latest tomorrow morning, so after that we shall probably use the Wild Cards!
Hopefully you'll be around then to unlock it for us!
I should be around all weekend! (I've spent my entire week off of work in bed reading and playing on Goodreads... why change that now? haha!)
I'm going to finish Dragonflight tonight for 'extinct'. I like it as much as I did in my teens. I mean, dragons, right. Then as soon as you, Hilde, finish your book I suggest you fill the rest of the remaining ones with wildcard. Only problem with that is that I think morning European time is the middle of the night for Emily...?

We can look at the magical level at other teams, so we could always plan for them until Emily is awake to put it up for us :)
Edit: I can also put it up myself, but that might count as cheating :P
I just sped up my audio- still 3 hours and 20 minutes to go. It'll be 1am without any interruptions. Wish me luck! I might even be able to speed it up to 2x later on, but I'll see how it goes.Today didn't go as planned, but I am determined to finish this tonight!
I’m not far off finishing The German Girl, which works for a few of the options for dinosaur. I’ll check back here and the spreadsheet before I add it, but as it has a few possibilities, it can always be moved if needed.

I agree with this. I think we keep reading and fill in as many as we can until Hilde finishes her book, as it only works for one dinosaur prompt, and it would be a shame not to use it when she is so close to finishing. I’ve also had a sneaky peek at the next level, and I think that unless you read a certain type of fantasy book, it would be hard to find the words in the text or acted out, so I think most people will have to use author initials for their books.

Good luck with finishing, Carmen!
I also had a sneak peek :) And I can see I have a few short author options lined up (still 100+ pages, graphic novels count, right?). I have to say if we move on before I've finished Dragonflight, it's no problem since it acts out both 'fire breathing' and there is a mother of dragons.
Good morning, Team Frosted Flakes!I often find the read-a-thon goes a bit slower for me personally later in the week and by the second weekend - sometimes because the tasks I put off doing the first weekend need doing the next weekend(!), sometimes because I've read intensely for half the week and then my reading energy is a bit lower for the second half, sometimes because life just intrudes!
But yes, let's use Hilde's book to fill "Jurassic Park", and Johanne's for "extinct", and Carmen's book for "stomp" and whatever else anyone finishes before then, and then use wildcards to finish the dinosaur level.
Mid-morning in European time might be middle of the night for Emily... I'm normally still up when it's mid-morning in Europe, aren't I? If I go to bed at 10, that's midday in Britain - so yes, Emily might be asleep.
Carmen wrote: "I can also put it [the fifth level] up myself, but that might count as cheating :P..."
And you never know whether there might be a different 5th level for each team... Probably not, but still...
We'll wait for Emily or one of the other mods, but in the meantime, check out the Cocoa Pebbles team's 5th level and plan your reading around that since it might be the same! And even if it's different, books may still work.
I'm just over a quarter of the way through my book (which would work for several of the magical level) - I really wanted to finish it in February as I was using it on my winter challenge, but not sure I can read over 300 of these pages in a day...! Not even certain I'll finish it by Sunday :-/
Ohno I can unhide the sheet, that's what I mean ;) And it does look to be the same. But I'll wait of course!Good luck with your book!
Johanne wrote: "I also had a sneak peek :) And I can see I have a few short author options lined up (still 100+ pages, graphic novels count, right?)..."Absolutely, Johanne!!
I had a reading dip during the week mainly due to work (had to work two nights from home on top of regular hours + a meeting with the bank yesterday (that went well)). So now I can feel I'm getting in gear for the last sprint to the finish line! (a bit annoyed I have to go to a birthday tomorrow but it won't last all day).
Undercover Amish is finished! For now, I've put it under "carnivore", as that had slightly fewer choices. However, there are plenty of others it could be moved to if needed.
I'll check in with all the teams before I go to sleep, and if you're ready for it, I can post the next prompts!
(But yes, as Carmen pointed out, it's been hiding in your spreadsheet all along! 😉)
