the book I am looking for is about a civilization that is under ice and they are told that there is no way to get up but then a girl gets curious and finds clues that suggest that there actually is a blocked pathway up, the cover has a boy on top of the ice and a girl underneath from what I can remember. also in this book there are dogs, but they arent called dogs and the main character can talk to them.

i read this book in 2018, im 15 and it was at my school library so i think it was for young adults
