This can't be anything other than 5 ⭐! It looks like it could be a rather dry book, but the author manages to make it both amusing and interesting - I think I smiled or laughed at something in each tale!

Highlights include:
A New Line of Enquiry
Sweet Fanny Adams
Way Out West

and my personal favourite "A Bad Day at the Office"!

(I should probably explain why this is my favourite - I'm a huge fan of the UK quiz show The Chase, and one of the Chasers is called Shaun Wallace, and he's a barrister. He has a slogan when he catches the team - "It's just another day at the office" and the origins of this catchphrase must start from the case mentioned in this book. He's actually my least favourite of the Chasers - I love it when it's "A Bad Day at the Office"! If anyone knows the show, it's a two-way tie for favourite Chaser - Anne Hegerty and Jenny Ryan.)
