I am thinking of diversifying my movie watching and thought that maybe I could translate the AtY challenge to books. I am still working on some of the prompts. Those of you who are movie lovers what do you think about my idea?

I'm happy to share, and eager to steal ideas from other people to add to my list :) I need the motivation to watch more, I'm so busy reading it sometimes seems a waste paying a Netflix subscription.

I made IMDb lists for ideas and for what I actually end up watching if anyone is interested. I watched ‘Hair Love’, which won an Oscar, for my short. If you haven’t watched it yet you should! Under 7 minutes so it’s a quick watch. https://www.imdb.com/list/ls096296470

You is set in LA which is a global city, it also has 15 listed directors.
I still don’t know what I really think of it. I feel like the most terrifying part was that it was so light and airy and bright even though terrifying things were happening.
I have been adding movies and TV shows to my challenge post as well as to a list on IMDb. Here is a link to my list http://www.imdb.com/list/ls096191722/It is fun trying to match movies to our prompts. There are some prompts that I could have added a few movies to. 😜 So this is expanding my watching list.
How is everyone else doing?
I hate to admit it, but I had never seen any of the original Star Wars trilogy before today. I watched A New Hope since they are all on Disney+.
Brittany wrote: "I hate to admit it, but I had never seen any of the original Star Wars trilogy before today. I watched A New Hope since they are all on Disney+."Did you enjoy it? I'm old enough to have seen it when it first came out, when it was amazing and it's one of my favourites, so even re-watching it is fantastic but I don't know if that's purely the nostalgia.
I'm doing better with the movie challenge than the regular AtY - 16 films to 10 books.
I'm straying from films for the NY Times prompt, as I just got 11.22.63 on DVD and the other options for that didn't appeal. I got Edgar Wright's Cornetto Trilogy boxset at the same time, so I have Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End to fit in somewhere, if anyone has any ideas?
Time to finally track this - I think being in lockdown is going to help get this done (or at least further than the four or five I watched last year!). Had to be a bit creative to redo some of the prompts for movies.✔ 1. A movie with a title that doesn't contain the letters A, T or Y: Clue 12/3/20 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

I did enjoy it, but I definitely wouldn't put it down as one of my favorites. I feel like its probably equal parts nostalgia and the fact that it's a good story.
Anyone else getting extra movies in since we're all stuck at home a lot more?? I watched A Simple Plan yesterday and put it down for "a female director or writer". Both the novel that inspired the book and the screenplay were written by women. I also watched Dumbo this morning and marked it down for a title without A,T, and Y.
I marked Tiger King down for 2 directors. I watched Big Time Adolescence today and put it down for a lesser known film, it only has 2200 ratings on IMDb.
Ohh this looks fun! I'll use both movies and series. With ✓ and rating means done watching.
