ABANDONED. elf spaceship pilot

Ok i read this a few years ago, it's a mix of sci fi and fantasy, i think it was part of a series about a mottly crew of elves and aliens. All i can remember is that the beginning of the book starts with the main elf character in a space station bar.

Elves AND aliens ... that seems like a relatively unusual combination. Do you recall anything about the cover, or whether it might have been YA? Did it take place in this universe, or another, or a mix?

It was unusual, took place in another 'universe', don't really remember the cover - not making things easy for myself i know lol The one thing i know is that it was listed on goodreads as i always look here re titles, trouble is it was so long ago... arrrgh so annoying
