message 4: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments I'm going to take a wild guess that, judging by your name, you're a big Harley Quinn fan? I quite enjoy DC myself-but I do hope you had something more original in mind? :)

message 5: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Lol we dont have to do harley quinn...i just need to think ofvsome ideas. Lol

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Ugh. The bane of my existence: Would-be romance novel teenagers in the throes of desperation justifying an unglorified method of self-gratification and fulfillment through the involvement of an independent party who also does half the work therein...

I'm not a huge fan of "Domestic" RPs; if I wanted to be a regular high school student, I'd be enjoying life a lot more. Don't you have any exciting ideas? Surely there's some fantasy you wish to fulfill less base than a pregnant teenager? You must have dreams of impossible hypotheticals, speculations of the unknown?

And I'm fine with you playing a woman. I'm comfortable playing either gender.

message 8: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Hm...ive been wanting to do one based off of david gulleta's "titanium"

message 9: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Ok...how do you feel about fxf? Because im kind of forming a story line in my head

message 10: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments David Gulleta the singer? I'm not a fan of his work, so you would have to enlighten me. I also prefer original writing to cannon.

message 11: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Yeah...im not very good at ideas..but my idea is two girls meet each other and become extreamly good friends. But both of them are gay and secretly falling for the other. Now neither of them wants to come out to the other as they are afraid it will wreck the relationship. And tyeres another twist. One of them (i figured id play this character) is a raptor, a creature of french mythology, once widly feared but now they have become things of dusty mythology text books that sit untouched in the corner of the library that no one visits

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Does fxf mean female x female? If so I'm fine with that...? (Although again I don't want to do some pro-LGBT "Overcoming adversity" highschool story)

message 13: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Lol nope. Just the idea above. I just know not everyone is comfortable doing lgbt

message 14: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments And we can add in ideas as we think of them. Just be sure to share before jusf throwing it in so i know whats going on

Applejaxc | 1003 comments If she's going to be a forgotten monster-thing woman, may I make this proposal?

Obviously overarching plot is the fear of discovery and fear of coming out to each other and being rejected. But an entire story can't be motivated by that alone. So, I have this idea I haven't gotten to use yet:

A prince wants to bring peace to a country racially divided (elves vs humans, but if you don't like that, it can be politically or ethnically divided. I'd prefer elves vs humans; I have more stuff prepared that way). The problem is that in order to do so, he would need to replace his steadfastly racist parents (the king and queen). He would prefer a peaceful solution to all quarrels but it becomes increasingly clear that violence may be the only answer. The question is, will the characters fight with him in the revolution, or with him against it?

In this scenario, the main characters are hired by him to bring peace to the frontier and start doing simple tasks like killing local monsters, et cetera, but uncover a plot that sucks them into the folds of a plot to overthrow everyone...

message 16: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments We could do that :)

message 17: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Yay.

Are you comfortable with your character being a semi-accomplished adventurer-type? (Typical Dungeons and Dragons 1st level character? or like... any RPG I guess?)

message 18: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Lol well ive never played dungeons and drangons before so i have no clue what that means...

message 19: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Have you ever played Oblivion or Skyrim or Dark Souls or Fable? Where your character is a person who, instead of being a cook, smith, merchant, et cetera, decides to travel with a sword seeking adventure?

message 20: by Rey (new)

Rey | 406 comments Uh...not really...i mean i messed around on my brother's skyrim game but no real game play

message 21: by Applejaxc (new)

Applejaxc | 1003 comments Then I can't provide any examples for the kind of character that fits this story...

Owlsdale was a quiet merchant town carved into the rocks at the base of Daksunder spire, specialized in the export of owls and owl-related products (owlfeather fletchings, owl-oil lubricant, owlfeather hats, et cetera). At its center, The Missed Adventure general store stood, a dilapidated repurpose of what was once Daksunder keep, a singular cobbled stone tower that, in generations past, had served as the base of operations for the heroes that slew Lorris the Terrible.
Despite the lack of traffic the town had seen in recent weeks, optimistic merchants lined the three dirt roads in wooden stalls, peddling bottom-of-the-barrel refuge at desperate prices well after sundown. Of the two inns, only one remained operational: The Illuminated Nights. A surly, scarred orc stood by the door, arms crossed, turning away poppers that would sully the business's image; he was not an obstacle for [your character] when it became clear there were no other options for a warm bed for a good price.
