Wow, you're ambitious, good luck with that. That Susan Hill book does sound intriguing... but I'd need more than one year to "get to know my own collection again"! Considering how much I read in a year, I'd say three years would be enough :)I wish I could bring myself to stop buying new books... Hope you achieve your goal!
Making this my 'big update post'1, Howards End Is on the Landing: A Year of Reading from Home by Susan Hill
2, Any Human Heart by William Boyd
3, Dear Life: Stories by Alice Munro
4, On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan
5, Tarot Face to Face: Using the Cards in Your Everyday Life by Marcus Katz
6, Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler

This year I moved apartment and realised just how many books I own (not to speak of how packed my Kindle is) and during reading the Howards End Is on the Landing: A Year of Reading from Home I got inspired to NOT buy any new books in 2015 - at least not until I got a few new bookshelves to house them in. So I sign up for a 36 Mt Vancouver but really hope to do an Olympus.
