It's that time again! Both of our current series will wrap up at the end of April, so it is time to nominate some new series!

Series must be complete, or at least scheduled to be completed before we finish.

Please check the bookshelf to make sure we haven't already read the series you wish to nominate.

message 8: by John (new)

John | 139 comments I would like to nominate Sherwood Smith's Inda series (four books, starting with Inda. The first book has hints of Ender's Game in a fantasy milieu, but it's a lot more than that. Great world-building, rich characters, a fair bit of tragedy as well as triumph in the series. And pirates!

I would nominate Elizabeth Bear's Promethean Age series starting with Blood and Iron. It looks pretty epic to me, and I have loved some of Bear's other works.....

Even if you nominated one series, you can second another. Right now only 2 series are eligible to go to the poll.

ok, I will close this down for the poll now.

How do folks feel about just reading one series at a time??? WHen we originally started reading two series, it was because of the competing interests of the 'dark fantasy' vs the 'epic fantasy' crowds. This debate has not come up in a long time, and it has been a while since we have done one of each!

Let us know if you think we should read one or two different series.....

I usually just choose one of the series to read. So for me, one is sufficient. But... I like having a choice in case on of the series does not interest me. Whatever the mods decide will be good.
