Doug Elliott | 3 comments OK, so I added my latest book, The Annotated White Company, put my author name in the description and it is now associated with Doug Elliott (620388) -- whoever that is? -- rather than my Goodreads Author profile Doug Elliott (6705874). Can someone please help? Plus the "other" Doug Elliott (620388) is listed as having some of my books. I really need to get this mess corrected. Can you help? ...Doug

Doug Elliott | 3 comments Thanks so much for your help. If I search for "Doug Elliott" the books that should belong to me: i.e., "Doug Elliott (Goodreads author)" are:
- The Link (16170803): this is shown correctly, but there us another copy of The Link (19053453) which is attributed to the "other" Doug Elliott
- The Annotated White Company (51001296) - this is shown correctly
- Sherlock Holmes: the Australian Casebook (34760746) - as Contributor
- The Complete Sherlock Holmes, Volume 2 (24397147) - as Introduction. The same book is also listed as "Sherlock Holmes: Volume 2 (Knickerbocker Classics)"(41055299)
- Sherlock Holmes, Volume 4 (28964101) - as Introduction

I have nothing to do with any other books listed by my name. There is another Doug Elliott who appears to write nature books, but I don't understand how the Doug Elliott account was created that claims my books. What I'm wondering is if in the past I have somehow created two accounts. Or is it a default placeholder created when a book is added by an author with no Goodreads account?

In any case, whatever you can do to sort this out would really be appreciated.

Cheers,
...Doug

This is correct. If a book by you is imported it might be imported to the default profile, and we can just move it.

Emily | 17627 comments If you add your own book, you will need to put *two spaces* between your first and last name in order for it to be on your profile.
