I started reading this book online randomly a week ago, I was at work and had to click out of it quickly and now I cannot remember the name of the book and I was getting into it. most of what I remember is in the topic section, I believe it is a series, and one of the main characters is a girl guard (the ones that no one likes) and those guards can have some sort of special non-romantic connections with their partners. Also, these guards cannot help fairies because of some sort of peace treaty and a bunch of fae are turning up murdered.
