Girl who moves in with a guy she doesn’t know

Help me find this book please!!! I’m going crazy looking for it. I read this book a couple years ago and it’s about a girl who goes to check out a perspective house - except the guy that shows her isn’t the roommate. It’s the roommates brother. She accepts the room and moves in but she doesn’t have enough money to buy a bed. The roommates brother walks into her room and finds out she doesn’t have a bed and tells the roommate. The guy she lives with goes out to buy her one and when she finds out, she tries to destroy it with a baseball bat.
