Kimberly (kimiftn) | 25 comments I have edited this post because I think some of my details were wrong.
Details I’m pretty sure about: Fantasy romance set in a historical time period, possibly medieval. (I know they ride horses in the book as their means of transportation.) Anyway, the h has some sort of magical powers, maybe healing? Either in the beginning of the book, or before it starts, the h is raped. I don’t remember by whom or why. I think the H has dreams that she needs help or is in danger, but I’m not sure what the danger is. I seem to remember they went on some kind of journey, but I don’t remember why or what they were doing. I also think I remember the h using her powers to heal or save someone (I think the Hero) at some point.

Details that could possibly be wrong or from another book: I think they might have known each other when they were younger. It’s possible that she may have broken off their relationship because of the rape, but he doesn’t know that’s why.

The rest is pretty fuzzy, so it’s probably best not to say anymore, because it definitely could be wrong. I FEEL like the cover was dark blue with someone riding a horse on it, but that could totally be wrong.

I read this book about 10 years ago or so, or maybe even longer, I’m not sure.

Thanks for the help!

Kimberly (kimiftn) | 25 comments The story was definitely a romance, so I guess it was more of a romantic fantasy.

Kimberly is still looking for this and wrote:

Carson (explodingtardis10) | 28 comments I think this could be a Mercedes Lackey book. Maybe one of the Wind or Storm series?

Bobby (bobbyb-aka-plarry) | 37 comments The Mercedes Lackey suggestion seems quite reasonable to me also, but another book to look at would be Raven's Shadow by Patricia Briggs. Some of the details don't fit the story but some sort of do.

Sorry, I have been accessing the site from my phone app. I didn't know I could edit my posts, because you don't have that option from the app. I made another thread because I think some of the info in the original was giving me incorrect suggestions. Anyway, I have edited the original post now.

Thanks!

Kimberly (kimiftn) | 25 comments It appears that Mercedes Lackey has a LOT of books. I've been looking through them and haven't located any that appear to be my book. I don't remember it being part of a series, but it could have been. So far no luck with this author though.

I love Patricia Briggs, but it is not Raven's Shadow. Thanks for the suggestions!!
