pardon me for butting in- The Handsmaid's Tale is great. I read it during the 2012 "war on women" debate and found it so appropriate to that discussion. Think of it as a dystopian warning from a women's perspective.

I've updated my lists, finally. I wish I had more time to read! There are so many great books on my lists that haven't been read yet. I really enjoyed Big Little Lies. It is among my favorite books of all time.

44 Scotland Street is not my favorite book by this author. (view spoiler)[ Pat is 20 and in her 2nd gap year. She moves in with Bruce, in a roommate situation. Bruce is very attractive and enjoys others noticing. The complex that Pat lives in has some interesting occupants. Pat gets a job with Matthew who is a rich man's son. His father buys businesses for him (to keep him busy). His latest venture is an art gallery. Domenica is an eccentric neighbor. (hide spoiler)] McCall-Smith's series: No. 1 Ladies Dective Agency catches my interest much more.

The Beekeeper's Apprentice is a very well written book, my first by Laurie King. It will not be the last book I'll read by this author.

My lists are updated. I loved Confessions of a Shopaholic and I look forward to another book by Kinsella. She's funny and she relates the human thought process pretty well!
