Wow! What an ending! I didn't expect some of those things to happen!!!

I completely understand why you tried not to spoil anything with their relationship now ^^;

The plan they set out in the end was just so well done. Her accounted for nearly everything. Except Matt being found out like that I suppose :( But when Kaz confronted Pekka. Just chills. "What is my brother's name?" A simple question and he'd be off the hook? Maybe? Probably not. Gosh though. He really got to that guy!

And they took down Van Eck too! All is well that ends well....almost.

I really really liked the Inej and Kaz scenes at the end there. My favorite part was when Inej asked Kaz about why he adopted the crow, "Crows remember human faces. They remember the people who feed them, who are kind to them and the people who wrong them too...They don't forget. They tell each other who to look after and who to watch out for Inej." <3 And he even gave her a ship and her family back. Oh my gosh <3<3<3 (hide spoiler)]

It was a wonderful book! I hope to see that elusive third book sometime soon

Hey sorry it took me so long to respond I didn't see your penultimate comment and then I read your last while I was cooking dinner and then responding slipped my mind 🤦‍♀️

So glad you liked the book. There are so many good scenes as nd quotes in this book that just stay with you... the crows scenes is a good example of this.

I read something once where the suthor commented on the fact that Matthias was "killed by a younger version of himself" and though that was sad but true. If Matthias had not met Nina and another Fjordan had acted like he did I could believe Matthias would have acted that way which is why I don't think he blamed the other boy. Still hurt my heart though (hide spoiler)]
