Went to go buy it literally as soon as I was done with my job today! its so prettyyy can't wait to start reading it
I'm super excited to start too! I have to get it from the library so I'm hoping there isn't much of a wait.

Yes! Genya is definitely my favorite character! I haven’t finished the book yet but I think I have about two more chapters to go and she is definitely the best character from the beginning in my opinion
Since I've already read the series, I'll need to be vague... but the Darkling is definitely one of my favorites later on!!My favorite character over all is one that has not been introduced yet though :(
I have finished this series multiple times so I'm very interested in what people think about it as they read because many of my opinions changed along the way..
I’m on chapter twelve and I think the plot is moving very slowly so it feels like I’m still at the beginning.
Ohhh just keep on reading don’t worry it definitely gets better and I did kinda feel the same way about the plot in the beginning
I've read it before but wanted to spoiler free participate! What did/do you think of it so far?
I do not love this series so much, but it's an okay jumping off point for the Grishaverse. It is very "of it's time" I think as far as YA goes!
Favorite/least favorite character?
Mal is the worst YA love interest Ive ever tolerated. I really love Zoya and Genya in this book!
I just finished the book, here are my thoughts. The plot moved very slow and it wasn’t buildup just random bits of story. Alina is a pretty relatable heroine but Mal is a pretty bad love interest. This wasn’t the best written book I’ve ever read but I enjoyed the story and characters very much.
Agree with most of these comments about Mal. He’s a poor love interest whom I found so annoying. I loveeeeed Genya, and her and David are the cutest! The Darkling is another dark YA crush who has so such charisma and allure , ughhh it’s so conflicting to crush on him

Okay so I just finished the book and I honestly don’t know if i I like the Darkling or not because at the beginning he was my favorite character but now I’m kinda off and on about him. What does everyone else think?
Yup I know exactly what you mean. I have the same issue with the Darkling. He did pretty unforgivable things but I CAN’T help but have a weak spot for him because he just has that unrelenting charisma. But I guess that’s why so many of us are drawn to him. Despite how charming he is, the world would be better place without him as harsh as that sounds.

If you are participating this month (we encourage you do!) feel free to ask other people questions, what they think, any predictions, or even start a game about the book!
