Yah if feel like at the beginning I absolutely loved him but then after I found out the things he did i kinda felt betrayed because I really liked him he had that mysterious dark vibe that’s for some reason draws you to him but that’s why I have so many mixed feelings about him because he did some bad things but I still have that weak spot for him too. So yah I still kinda like him even though he’s kinda evil...

So, I was in love with the Darkling, and then it happened, so then I wanted to hate him but I couldn't. I was kinda annoyed by Mal's attitude, but then he became nicer, but idk, he still kinda annoys me.

I just got enought free time to start it, so I'm only a few chapters in... But I love the darkling so much already omg! Yall are scaring me though lmao I don't wanna start hating my boii :(

i’ve already read the trilogy some time ago and i remember i wasn’t very much into the darkling from the beginning and i was so annoyed by alina

I LOVED THIS BOOK AND YES I SHIP ALINA WITH THE DARKLING EVEN THO HE IS HEARTLESS BUT HIS CHARM KILLS ME EVERYTIME AND MAL FELT VERY DRY BUT OVERALL THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING

BUT I DO THINK THE DARKLING COULD MOVE ASIDE AND LET ALINA CHOOSE SOMEONE WHO IS ACTUALLY A GOOD GUY AND I HOPE THERE IS REDEMPTION THOUGH

I honestly don't get the hype about him. He's kinda childish, esp later on in this series

So I literally joined this group the last day of February, which means it's too late for me to post here, but - coincidentally - I read this series last month, so that's a win-win! This book could've been written better but I appreciate Leigh using this fantasy world as a place for her to share an important lesson about older men in powerful positions preying on subordinate women or girls!

I really like the darkling and Mal is just annoying. He is a really weak love interest tbh.
