Actually, doing singles, my team already has about half our verse filled up with planned titles for this first week. I'm relooking now to see how this new change adjusts things. I think fewer of our books will work for anything in our first verse. But we'll adjust. I'm glad you've cleared this up for us.
Sorry it wasn't clear earlier. My thinking was if a verse had a ton of E's or something, it would probably be crazy to have to fill all those individually, you know? Also, books you finish can be saved; so if you finish a book but it doesn't work for the current verse, just save it and post for one that it does. :)
With the new rule adjustment, my team will have our first verse done by the weekend, and there are only two letters left for our two teammates who haven't signed in yet. (Although we'll adjust and trade letters if needed, of course.)Are you sure you don't want us to do single letters?
If you want us to do compiled letters, may our teammates read ahead for the next verse and just not post until the first verse is finished?
Okay, thank you! Thanks for talking me through this, Melanie. I'm glad this happened today and not later in the week. :)
I'm sorry I didn't realize sooner that it wasn't clearly written (saying it would work for those certain letters in the example definitely wasn't clear enough to say ALL of each of those letters). Thanks for understanding my error :)
Of course! Hey, we all have those moments. No worries at all. I think I've got it understood now, and I'm sure my teammates will catch on too. It's all good! :)
Glad to hear that. If you have any other questions, just ask. :)
I'm off to bed now. Good night and happy reading. ;)

Melanie, may we use any/all authors who contributed to a collection to claim letters?Example: The British Brides Collection

If you read the whole collection, yes.

Question: when we are posting reviews, do you automatically fill in all the possible letters for the puzzle? Or can we pick just one or two letters in order to maximize our page points?
Melanie, the original post says each verse counts for 10 points upon completion but 5 points were actually awarded. Which is the correct number?

Oops! It is 10, I messed up when I was updating the posts. I fixed it. Thanks so much, Hannah!

I have a question about numerals in the title, like Around the World in 80 Days. Would the 80 be ignored or would it be counted as a 'E' for eighty?
Melanie, quick question: I started a book a week or so ago but want to refresh my memory on the only chapter I've read so far. If I restart a book at the beginning and read every word of chapter one over again (and then, of course, finish the entire book), may I count all the pages?
Thanks so much!I had started Until We Find Home when I started The Sea Before Us. They're both WWII fiction, so I definitely want to make sure I'm remembering details correctly and not jumbling them.
The Sea Before Us (Sarah Sundin) was spectacular, by the way.
I'm not sure to get how it works... I read 5 to 10 books per months as I also write novels under pen name Louisa treyborac...
I'm sorry Isabelle, but signups closed February 6th...I can add you to a backup list if we need a replacement player :)

Thank you for a great reading challenge, Melanie. It truly came at a needed time for everyone! Get some well-deserved rest now :)

Well done, everyone! This game was a blast, and I’m so impressed with how many books each team blazed through. Happy reading!

Lol! That might be true, Hannah. I've never seen Bess blaze through so many titles so quickly! :) Mega proud of you, Bess!
