YA Romance/Medieval/Vampire Book. A love triangle gets resolved when vampire blackmails FMC into joining him. Time skip, the MMC is now a sulky sculptor, a girl is in love with him. Spoilers.

So I read this book in the early 2000s. I'm pretty sure the author was european, and it was potentially not published in english originally. But I'm pretty sure I read it in english (it could be spanish).

The plot goes as follows: A village trio of friends gets torn appart when Bad Boy is sent away and returns changed. Both boys were in love with the girl, so he blackmails her into joining him (I THINK as soon as she gets engaged to the other boy), he threatens to kill the Dreamer Village Boy she's in love with.

There's a time skip of a few years. The Dreamer Village Boy is now a sculptor working to make a church in a prominent city and one of the Lord's daughters is very much in love with him but he is too submerged in grief.

Some disappearances start happening and his old flame appears but now changed and dark.

It featured two love triangles.

Vampire Bad Boy - Innocent Pure Girl - Sculptor Village Boy
Vampire Innocent Pure Girl - Sculptor Village Boy - Lively Lord's Daughter

The setting was firmly medieval or such and I'm pretty sure that the cover had an illustration of the three main characters, if not only the Innocent Pure Girl.

The building of a cathedral is an important plot point through the book due to the Sculptor's involvement, where he ends up sculpting two angels to represent his two loves.

The older sister of the Lively Lord's Daughter ends up dying during an attempt to kill her sister by shoving her down the stairs because she's jealous of her beauty.

The Vampire Innocent Pure Girl shades the three vampire brides that the Vampire Bad Boy has saying that they are not really smart, but they are like a shark acting on instinct.

The love triangles are resolved with the Vampire Innocent Pure Girl ending with the Bad Boy Vampire while the Sculptor ends with the Lively Lord's Daughter. I'm pretty sure the latter two end up naming their first daughter after the Vampire Innocent Pure Girl.
