I'm open to whenever- say we start Monday the 9th?

Maybe it's a good idea, but can we make a list/spreadsheet of who is reading which author, if we want to have at minimum 5 books of the same author?

If you mean 'Uprooted', then 9th is fine. Will you make the thread?

Super, thanks, Andrea!

I'm planning on reading Harry Potter from book 3. If any one wants to read other books from J.K. Rowling, we can have extra points.

message 61: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) Hey guys! Is anyone else reading the Sabriel series by Garth Nix? There's 5 books in the series, so if two of us read it we could get a ton of points. Plus, there's a BR up!

Is that the Angel Mage one? If so, I just checked the audio out to try to get to it!

message 63: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments I just finished a re-read of Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1) by Danielle Paige and planning to move on with the rest of the series if anyone is interested in book 2 as a buddy read!

message 64: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments @Aneta - were you able to get book 4 for Land of Stories?

message 65: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Andrea - I went ahead and set up Tiger's Curse for the 9th, hope that's ok!

I don't think it's Angel Mage, but I'm not sure. The first book is called Sabriel and the author is Garth Nix

Aneta | 1442 comments HeatherH wrote: "@Aneta - were you able to get book 4 for Land of Stories?"

They only had book 3.

message 68: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Well, I think even if we can't get buddy points, if we are both reading some by Colfer, we should be able to get enough for the author bonus points at least!

message 69: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Anyone in the group planning to read any Leigh Bardugo or Victoria Schwab?

message 70: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments HeatherH wrote: "Anyone in the group planning to read any Leigh Bardugo or Victoria Schwab?"

I've wanted to read Victoria Schwab's series (Shades of Magic) for a long time. I also wanted to re-read Monsters of Verity. I have a lot planned though so I'm not 100% sure yet if I'm going to get to them. Which books did you want to read by her?

message 71: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Well City of Ghosts was picked for me for a monthly pick-it-for-me thing in another group as was a Bardugo book so figured I’d go with whichever had a chance of other readers of the author. Shade of Magic is on my TBR as well, though I don’t think it’s been long enough on Monsters of Verity for me to reread and get points lol. I do also need to read the sequel to Archived too. I have a lot scheduled too so I’m not sure how much of that I can get through but I tend to get through her stuff pretty fast generally.

Bunnita (Worth Reading It?) (bunnita) | 137 comments I'm not sure what going on with the spreadsheet. I'm reading Raye Wagner Sphinx series. And I will probably work in at least one buddy read

message 74: by Laura (new)

Laura | 1313 comments Finished Ready Player One (Ready Player One, #1) by Ernest Cline . I think I will be reading In the Labyrinth of Drakes (The Memoirs of Lady Trent #4) by Marie Brennan . Hopefully my reading will increase from here on out. I had a nasty reading slump!

message 75: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments I'm adding in some Lauren Oliver with Rooms by Lauren Oliver Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver Pandemonium (Delirium, #2) by Lauren Oliver Requiem (Delirium, #3) by Lauren Oliver . Unless someone wants to buddy read any of them (there is already threads set for the first two listed but with people in other groups..), I will try to find a fifth to get points for her as well.

message 76: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments Yay, we got the lead :P Today I'm hoping to finish two books The Secret Girl (Adamson All-Boys Academy #1) by C.M. Stunich and The King of Attolia (The Queen's Thief, #3) by Megan Whalen Turner . I'll probably start reading the sequels once I'm done.

Also, am I the only one who at the start of the month is already thinking about what the next monthly challenge could be? ^^

message 77: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments I'm always anxious to see what the next challenge is! However I'm probably going to have to skip March as I have a ton of editing work to get done and am not good at balancing the two if I commit to a challenge lol.

I'm reading the first book of the Lady Trent - series. So, if we can manage to have 3 more, than we've got bonus points.

message 79: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Finishing up Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1) by Colleen Houck and hopefully The Exiled Queen (Seven Realms, #2) by Cinda Williams Chima within the next 24 hours. Couple of others I should have done by the weekend and then I will be continuing on in some started authors/series.. Currently do not have set BR's for the following if anyone is interested (a couple I BR previous books to so potentially will have ones set if the others plan to continue):
Tiger's Quest (The Tiger Saga, #2) by Colleen Houck Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid Rolling in the Deep (Rolling in the Deep, #0.5) by Mira Grant Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver

message 81: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments I'm done with A Conspiracy of Kings (The Queen's Thief, #4) by Megan Whalen Turner and I'll be starting its sequel very soon. Heather, do you mind if I make the thread already? I'll probably read Thick as thieves this week-end. :)

message 82: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments @Kelly - go ahead and set it! I'll be a few days behind but still within the time limits set for BR's so all good!

message 84: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments Ok, so I'm done with The Queen's thief series. Tonight I'll finish The Forever Crew (Adamson All-Boys Academy, #3) by C.M. Stunich giving us +10 points. I've also started The Warrior Heir (The Heir Chronicles, #1) by Cinda Williams Chima and hoping to read the entire Seven Realms series after that.

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments I'm trying to get a couple reviews done tonight as well as actually reading some more. It's been a hell month so far :/

message 86: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments I'm sorry to hear that! Hopefully, your month will get better from now on. At least in the just for fun section there's no pressure to read if you can't or don't really want to :)

message 87: by Aneta (new)

Aneta | 1442 comments I have never read anything form Jennifer L Armentrout. Can you recommend me book which I could start with?

message 88: by Kelly (last edited Feb 20, 2020 11:26AM) (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments Jennifer L Armentrout wrote a few contemporary romances but I feel like she's more known for her paranormal romance. I haven't really read any of her contemporary stuff. Before you read her books, you have to know she likes her love triangles but if that doesn't bother you, I would recommend White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout or Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout , which are so far my favorite series from her.The Dark elements series also have gargoyles and demons which is something I really enjoyed reading about :).

I tried Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout a few years ago and I didn't really love it. I've wanted to give it another try to see if I changed my mind or not.

The second book in the Lux series was MUCH better than the first one.

message 90: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments Thanks for letting me know! Now I have to read them :)

message 91: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Just finishing up the second book in the LUX series and I agree with Andrea on that one! And as cheesy as the first was it still was a fast easy read!

message 92: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments Does the lux series have a love triangle? I can't remember.

message 93: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments hints at one in book 2 but not really so far

message 94: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 1350 comments I've listened to too many audiobooks on Scribd this month and now the last book in the series I'm reading isn't available anymore ^^'. I feel like I should have seen this coming ahah

Do you have the audible escape package, I think the lux series is available through that

message 96: by Dr. Andy (new)

Dr. Andy | 14480 comments Heather did you want to finish the tiger's curse series this month or plan the other 3 for March?

message 97: by HeatherH (new)

HeatherH (bkwrm85) | 2156 comments Hey, sorry.. life hit really hard this weekend. I'm going to try to wrap up Tiger's Quest (The Tiger Saga, #2) by Colleen Houck , Opal (Lux, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout , Fire (Graceling Realm, #2) by Kristin Cashore and Hunting Prince Dracula (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #2) by Kerri Maniscalco by the end of the month but doubting I will get to much more if I even manage to get through all of the.. :( Not sure I'll set much for March as I'm just not sure when things are going to ease up.
