Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Dang she has some already and I don't want to mess with it. I'm just confusing and frustrating myself now. Much less you guys. lol.

Beth White (betherly) | 225 comments Awesome! Thanks so much Anna!

Yep I'm currently reading:
Radical Candor Be a Kickass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity by Kim Malone Scott City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare

Will aim to finish these as soon as possible. Tomorrow I am starting to read The Au Pair by Emma Rous which will work as an option for many of our letters:

The Au Pair by Emma Rous

This month I also have plans to read:

Dragon Teeth by Michael Crichton City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5) by Cassandra Clare

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Would City of Fallen Angels and Radical Candor be actual literal already reading? Cause I don't think they count for a letter then unless it's the 1st where you are now. ^_^

Ahh dang it. I thought by the fact it would get page points for whats read in Feb it would also count as a letter and that I just couldn't get BR or Book of the Month points for it. Looks like I'll have to take them down then :'( sad times!

I'll triple check the rules but I'm 95% certain you wouldn't be able to count them for a later. :(

message 106: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I did check the rules and while it does not technically cover already started books if you read between the lines ( at least I didn't find them! Might be there) then it states you can't use already started books. Like

Books must be read and reviewed from first day of the month that the challenge starts to last day of the month that the challenge ends

**Books that are DNFed can count toward pages, but not category points. A review and/or status updates is still required

They still count for page points so that's good. I also might have a leftover book. Depends on how fast I read tonight. ^_^

I'm not sure. I think as long as it's in a dictionary it would count but you'd have to ask the mods to be sure.

message 118: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments So I have given myself a few options to start with since sometimes if I over plan I lose interest.

Seven Deadly Shadows by Courtney Alameda The Cerulean (The Cerulean Duology, #1) by Amy Ewing Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost Descendant of the Crane by Joan He Cast in Secret (Chronicles of Elantra, #3) by Michelle Sagara Slayer (Slayer, #1) by Kiersten White

Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs Alpha & Omega (Alpha & Omega, #0.5) by Patricia Briggs Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling Harry Potter à l'école des sorciers by J.K. Rowling

I am trying to read 200 pages a day and also listen to at least 30 min each of my English and French Audio.

None of my current audio will count and also Cast in Secret won't count right now. I'm debating restarting since I'm only on chapter 2.

Beth White (betherly) | 225 comments I saw on the “copy” sheet we have a couple of words highlighted that haven’t transferred to the “words 1-12” sheet. Do you want me to move them across?

Also, we have 2x “DAY” - are we intending to use both of these and have duplicate words or should one be removed?

..could the "day's" be with other words that could make something longer?? I could've added some holidays into this word search..

message 126: by Beth (new)

Beth White (betherly) | 225 comments One of the days is at the end of “International Language Day” and the other one at the end of “Family Day” - currently “Inter” “National” “Language” and “Day” are listed as separate words. Are we generally saying unless it counts as one word (in this case I guess phrase?) then no duplicates? In which case I will either mark one of the “Day” words as part of the above or remove it. Hope that sort of makes sense? My explanation got lengthy to try and explain what I mean lol!

Also, would folks mind if I add “Crush” to our words so I can read my Doctor Who: Hunters Moon for “H”?

I can honestly say I wasn't even thinking about shortening such words when it came to 'day'.. but since I love loop holes, you can count: inter, intern, national, language, day, family, day, international family day, & family day as all kinds of words within the challenge.

It just means extra points for you all :)

Oh and lots of reading lol

BUT day would ONLY count once. So if you see the same word twice.. it will only count once for this challenge.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Ruby and I had like the best day. She got up earylish but then let me sleep for about another hour. Then we cuddled/napped downstairs for another 2-3 hours.

Then we went to a town about 30 min away to a local pet store and got her two new toys, some shampoo, a bone and some more food.

Oh and before we went to the town she got to go to a dog park we discovered recently and she actually got to see another dog! He didn't stay long but I know she has missed playing/seeing puppies.

Then she had a really long walk and carried her new rope toy. ^_^

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I think we should use OjoAusana's books for E in Inter. (Sarah E. Ladd)

G in Language (The Girl in the Box)

the E in Tuesday. (Sarah E. Ladd)

I in Cupid (Muder in Midtown)

What do you guys think?

message 140: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

You can only use the first letter lol. You're confusing me Book :P so I went back and checked and here's what it says for letters!!!

*Teams will spell out the answers to these clues using the first letter of the book title, book series or the first initial of the author’s first or last name. You cannot use both the title and the author of the same book for two different letters. They will ONLY work for one letter. So choose wisely.

***Not quite sure how this title works for Y. The letters that I can see are: T, O, L, M, S, E, C. This will be put on hold until you find a valid letter***

message 146: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Just to further clarify with the above book. I originally thought it would only be able to use T, C, S, E or L. No idea I could use all the 'first' letters of the title words.

❀ Crystal ✿ - PEACE ☮ LOVE ♥ BOOKS (crystaldc18) | 4664 comments Lmao and the plot thickens.... I'm assuming it would also work for first letter of series title maybe?!?!

Also we can obviously use alt editions too so we have just reached a whole new level. lol.
