Each letter that begins a word, plus the author's first and last initial.

Series titles too, right?

Kim | 3485 comments Since “family day” and “Roman” are almost done, is it ok to start working on the next 3?

I think so. I'll be done with my CR this weekend

message 107: by Esther (new)

Esther | 1829 comments Yeah, I think we should just try to stay within the top 6 right now. Until we finish some of the original three.

message 108: by Esther (new)

Esther | 1829 comments Aly, I think you can use your Banked Book for letter B in "Bean".

Betsy | 1048 comments How do we (can we?) count audible original books that don't have any recorded page numbers? Do these books still count?

I was looking at these... I just finished two of them and am almost finished with the third.

Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World
2 hrs and 2 mins length = 122 mins
122*150 words per min = 18,300 words
18300/250 words per page = 73.2
^^this will only count for page points

Women on Top has a page point on GR - 104 pages SO this will count for a letter.

Cut and Run: A Light-Hearted Dark Comedy
2 hrs and 44 mins = 164 mins
164*150 words per min = 24,600 words
24600/250 words per page = 98.4
^^this will only count for page points

You’re welcome ☺️

message 117: by Esther (new)

Esther | 1829 comments The people who are going on to farther words, please make sure that there isn't somewhere up top in the first 6 where you could place your book.

message 118: by Esther (new)

Esther | 1829 comments @Aarja, I like how you commented on a letter on the board. I think we should do that if we have a banked book or a book that isn't on that particular page.

Hello Team!

Congrats on doing well so far! Since it's about the halfway mark of the challenge, I wanted to let you know that I sent out a message to the 5 people, who haven't posted on your team's review thread yet, to see if they are still participating or not.

Keri | 1873 comments Hi team!! I’m so sorry I appear to have ghosted!!! I never set my notifications on once I found out my team so tho I’ve checked Goodreads multiple times a week, I’ve never seen any updates from our group.

I’ve gotten it set up now and will start posting. Again, so sorry!!

message 131: by Monica (new)

Monica (nutz4reading) Hey guys. I am here watching you guys plow through your books! I feel like I cannot keep up with you guys. I did finish a book this weekend. The book I finished is Four to Score by Janet Evanovich.

Please let me know where you need this book and I will add it to that spot.

You could use it for the E in "Instalove" (word 7 on the spreadsheet)

message 133: by Esther (new)

Esther | 1829 comments Yeah, I agree

message 134: by Keri (new)

Keri | 1873 comments Don’t worry, I can’t plow through books either so I’m in the slower reading category with you!!!
I’ve only just finished two or three so far and need to review them to post.

message 135: by Monica (new)

Monica (nutz4reading) Okay. I am going to post the book and my review. I will try to add it to the spreadsheet too.

Keri | 1873 comments I’m struggling to get through my reviews but working on it!!

message 137: by Kim (last edited Feb 19, 2020 08:52AM) (new)

Kim | 3485 comments Hey team, don't forget the original reason we are here is because we love reading. The challenges are a fun way to read more but don't measure yourself against each other's progress. As long as you are reading something you enjoy, that's the only thing that matters.

Reviews and challenge completions are a close second ;)

*End cheerleading rant*

Very true!! I love to read and enjoy these challenges. I should really stop looking at all the books everyone is reading!

message 140: by Keri (new)

Keri | 1873 comments The biggest problem I have with looking at the books everyone else is reading is an always growing TBR lol

message 141: by Esther (new)

Esther | 1829 comments The "I" in INSTALOVE and INK are the same. @Kim and @Aly, because of that, either of you could move your book somewhere else since we only need one of those "I".

message 146: by Kim (new)

Kim | 3485 comments So if I’ve looked it over correctly, for the words that we are working on, we need 4 “N” books before moving on to new words.

Yeah, those N's are really haunting us. I'm hoping to start a quick one today for that, but it depends on whether or not my library has a copy

message 148: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
The 2 books I'm reading now unfortunately don't have N's. I'll what I have coming up

I got the N book! And an ARC I've been working on has an N, so I'll try to finish those both this weekend and pick up two N's.
