Lau Maia I've checked and the other groups are using a white cover book for cornflour. Can't we do the same? Have we got any read already?

message 355: by Daniela (new)

Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments Oh yes! I totally forgot about using a white book! We have a few that work for white, so we can shuffle around some books

message 356: by Lau (new)

Lau Maia Nice! When you can please update on our more pressing needs for the end of February so I can see what to read :)

Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments The numbers I'd say, there are still the numbers 120 and 270 open, which we can only get with an exact page number. There shouldn't be any words left that are hard to find now

Christina (chrissy__) | 1241 comments Daniela and I both have mentioned white covers for cornflour before lol. Daniela's currently at Quidditch practice so I'll try to shuffle some books around and update our sheet while at work in a bit, but if I don't have enough time I'm sure D will do it later :)

I pretty much always finish books, but probably would've given up on this one a long time ago if it weren't for this challenge. I'm also using it for another one. It's not so bad because I'm listening, so if I get distracted I don't care that much.

that's awesome! I've been trying to find a book today that works for 24 or 120 but I got nothing sigh

message 371: by Daniela (new)

Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments I'm almost done with my 300 pages book, and I think I'll put down the Stephen King for now, to read a Nancy Drew book (24th in series), it only has 150 pages so will be a quick read.

In general, we can have a look at this series to find a 120pages long book

message 372: by Daniela (new)

Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments ok, there are so many books in the Nancy Drew series, so maybe someone wants to read The Case of the Floating Crime, it's #120 in series. It should be online somewhere, and only has 160 pages. I'm not sure I can finish two more books, even if they're that short. But I'll try for sure!

Me again, I'll actually start the book for 120, as I can't find The Clue in the Old Album, which would work for 24

Jumping ahead to March for a minute as I know I won't have time to squeeze in anything extra this month (other than finishing these and MAYBE one other I am trying to get in for a BOTM in another group). This hold came in for me at the library and I picked it up today. It will be my first read of March. Any thoughts on whether or not this counts as a blue cover if we get a colored card that it might work for?

Christina (chrissy__) | 1241 comments To recap for the mini challenge (please let us know if you can't finish):

airtight is being covered by Jen
24 by Ambi
270 by Lau

Our last colour card (7 Blue) is still being read by me - it actually took me all month to read this book, yes. Will definitely finish it by Saturday though :)

which leaves us with one more book 'needed' for our Feb cards, and according to Lau's and Ashley's posts they will be finishing more books soon, so the last one will be covered as well.

If everybody else wants to hold out on finishing books until March that's fine ;)
