Daniela Zekotic | 923 comments I had a quick look through other team's spreadsheets for ideas, sadly there weren't a lot, especially as lots of the books were second or third in a series

120 pages: The Pearl The Door in the Wall

airtight: Murder at the Vicarage (word in text), Deep in the Woods (word in text)

6: If I Stay (published on the 6th)

270 pages: Brute

24 publish date: The Dutch House

oh and what I didn't think about, for starfruit we can use a yellow cover book, or a yellow item on a book! as star fruits are yellow x)

Ashley Elig | 689 comments Y'all have been busy. I was kind of wondering about the numbers but haven't really had any that were worth asking about yet. This is definitely a lot clearer now. I have the rest of my month of reading plotted out, so I will check for numbers when I can and see if there is anything I can cover there. Constantly on the lookout for those words but definitely struggling with some of them. I don't think I've ever even heard cornflour used in life, so I'm thinking probably not going to find it in a book... but if I do, I'm pretty sure I'll notice!

Christina (chrissy__) | 1241 comments That's a good idea but I think that's stretching it too much, Sandy :(

Cornflour is white though, so shouldn't a white cover just work for it?

I keep thinking cornflower blue also... which would be much easier!

34. 3 - 3 in series
36. 12 - Audience Ages 12 & Up (pg 4 of 370 info page)

I wasn't sure if for Plate it could be PLATES as well so I included it and 12 was just listed as the readers age on the page that has the copy right book info, didn't know if that counted either. But just in case.

Also I included the only the ones on the mini that were still blank. I can still go back and look for others but I assumed those would be the ones you'd want to fill first?

But we'll just get back to you, should we want to move it to a word you didn't list :) so just for the next book, please try to include as much as possible (I know it's annoying)

Also for the numbers do they need to appear in just numeric form or if they appear like "ONE wrong step and my ankle would snap" in just written form does that count as well?

message 330: by Christina (new)

Christina (chrissy__) | 1241 comments Numbers only work as publication date, series #, page count and NEED to be the exact number as mentioned above.

E.g. 362 pages would NOT work for anything - not 3, not 6, not 2, not 300.

So far none of my publication dates seem to remotely apply, but I'm assuming if the book was published on like May 23, 2017 it would work for 5, 23, and 2017 (if those were options). Is that right? Or would it also work for 17 if that were an option?

Words: airtight, cold, cornflour, pen, plat, stomach, touch, white
Numbers: 1, 2, 3, 12, 24, 120, 270, 300 (which I will cover for sure)

Please have a lookout for these, especially the underlined words. And it is still good to have all the information in your finished book post, as we tend to shuffle around books to fit everything.

Yes, I am trudging through 99 Percent Mine for 9 yellow. I am not liking the book but only have a few hours of audio left and will have it done by the end of February. I have one other book that I'm about 50% finished with and I am hopeful that I can squeeze in at least one more. I was going to try for 2 but I'm not sure that will happen. I think most of the words we need (except airtight and cornflour) have shown up in both of my current books ... I had to laugh because cornflowers showed up, but no corn flour. I'm reading a cozy mystery and the next one will be a mystery as well so I'm hoping someone will have an airtight alibi... but no promises!

I just got the books Stalking Jack the Ripper and the book version of Dear Evan Hansen from the library so from looking at the summary I might be able to cover one of the cards-

I think Dear Evan Hansen would work for the zero card because there is a character named Zoe (Z)

For SJtR I think it could work for either the two or the nine - characters Thomas and Nathaniel

I'm sure these two books will work for more than that but just by glancing at the summary this is what I saw they should work for- I'll hopefully be able to finish one of them by the end of the month!
