this is missing from your uno shelf, Sandy
it would be amazing if we could finish 7 more books this month. how's everybody doing with their reading, do you think this is managable?
I'm definitely able to finish Never Have I Ever, but probably nothing more.
Natalie's still reading the book with a drink on a cover.

I should definitely be able to finish the book with the drink on the cover. I have plenty of free time this weekend

I will definitely finish one more. I doubt I could finish another but if I finish this one quickly I could try to find a short one to read if we need it at that point.

Sorry about that. I fixed it.
I think we should seriously start thinking about the story for part 2 of the mini challenge by now..."Once you have everything you need to get ready, tell us a little story, why don't you?
A little anticipation on what you expect to encounter in your preparations, or your travels. Maybe a crazy mishap during your travels, maybe a totally wonderful yet incredibly unbelievable romance....
Use the titles of 15 books to tell us your memoirs. Be as creative as you like. You can use as much or as little of a title as you see fit."
Remember, the theme of this month's mini challenge is "Perky Space Travel!" Got any ideas for a story? I guess we can either brainstorm or someone can just start writing a story.
I hate how much creativity this year's mini challenges ask for, they are definitely not made for me 🤣
These are the 13/15 books we can work with so far (already added Ashley's, Daniela's and my almost finished books):
- IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD
- Tales of Mystery and Madness
- Love After Dark
- The Guinevere Deception
- The Beautiful
- Treasure Island
- Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore
- The Viscount Who Loved Me
- Killer Pancake
- Never Have I Ever
- Inkheart
- The Secret of Red Gate Farm
- The Night Olivia Fell
Books do not have to be used in order, and of course we can add as many words inbetween book title words as we like. It has to make a story in the end after all :)
I'm not sure how much I'll be able to contribute to writing the story... but I am fairly certain I'll finish my current book, which is called The Night Olivia Fell.
maybe a love triangle between Mr. Penumbra, the Viscount (or Treasure Island? x)) and Olivia? or is that too boring? maybe Mr. Penumbra and the Viscount end up together while Olivia kicks some ass and is happy on her own on some other planet? the guys could also just be a backstory of Olivia 🤷🏻♀️
I'll think about it tomorrow. Just got out of work and my brain is dead xD 8 hours without a break is just too much for me. Many of my coworkers for fired, and I'm the last one left with only 8hours a week.. I guess I'll be fired next if this situation doesn't get better

I can't remember how this works for time zones... does it have to be done by midnight my time or is there a clock for me to use? Also, it is a minimum of 100 pages, correct?
Minimum of 100 pages, we go by the timer the mods provide us. I'm not on my computer right now, so can't post it until later. But they probably posted it in the announcement group.
Countdown April You can read for March before this countdown ends, everything after will count towards April. And we have an additional day to edit the spreadsheet.
I'm not sure I'll get to anything today. The toddler is being very high maintenance. I can go ahead and claim one of the 6 Greens for April though. I won't do the rest of my April planning until I get my Book Tac Toe card in my Facebook reading group, but I know I'll read this one in April.
I'm almost done a book that could be used for the skip, so I can either finish it and use it or hold off until when we start April. Whichever you guys would rather

Ok cool!

Does this count as red then I can use it for 4 or 8 red."
I personally lean toward no on this one, but the team may say otherwise!
I'll finish my book probably during the night, it'd be awesome if we get one other additional book done :) then we'd finish fourteen of fifteen hands, which is great considering all of us had this reading slump when covid-19 officially broke out

This one is hard for me, I'll ask in the captains group just in case

I'm so sorry guys! My work schedule suddenly got super stressful, and all my schedules got changed, so I definitely didn't get much reading done. :(I have a book that I can probably finish tonight? If we still need something, or I can save it for April.
Ashley wrote: "What is the status of our story? Do we have one started?"We still have time to write one today. I'll try to write one now

Well it's too late now x) we can use it for April
So I finished the story, it's not good but at least we have one x) We also got 8 books from UNO Pixie to use for our spreadsheet, as Lau doesn't seem to be playing anymore. Which means we finished our March hand after all :)
If Lau doesn't come back in April, we'll get another 15 books from UNO Pixie, which means that we "only" have to cover 91 books of the 106 we have to read :)
Daniela wrote: "So I finished the story, it's not good but at least we have one x) We also got 8 books from UNO Pixie to use for our spreadsheet, as Lau doesn't seem to be playing anymore. Which means we finishe..."
I was wondering if anyone had heard from Lau. I've been worried about her. I know the coronavirus had affected her child care and work situation, so I'm sure it's been hard on her. I hope everything is okay.
I was also curious to know if we were just out of luck if someone stopped participating. Good to know we get some books given to us. Happy April, y'all!
