I have not had time to finish it yet 😅 if I’m not done it by the end of the month It’ll be the first thing I tackle in September it looks like. With the Reading Rush and now Newts, I’m behind on other things.

I know the trailer for the new movie came out, but I've been avoiding it until I finished the book.
Crossed that off the list!
I don't think I'll be reading the rest of the series. I don't think I'll ever be that desperate for reading material. lol. Still haven't watched the old movie. I didn't realize there was a miniseries of Dune and Children of Dune. James McAvoy was in CoD. 😂 My husband is determined that the next film we see in theaters will be the new Dune. But I'm not really that interested in seeing it in theaters!

I’m looking forward to the movie! Honestly this one feels so nice and self-contained, I don’t know if I really need more.

😢
I mean, with the apocalypse going on the effects were probably pushed back.

The push back was to allow for an in person theatrical release (assuming that enough vaccinations can be given to allow for that), because those make more money than streaming.

I watched it on HBOMAX last night. Visually stunning but meh. Part One did not tell enough, for me. I've read the book but my partner hasn't and he was like, so nothing happens? lol.
