Nancy's Serious Sequential Series Sweep
Here are the authors for whom I currently own(!! yes, I know!!) books in series. I don't have every book in every series, but certainly enough to get started and quite enough to finish off several series. It is definitely going to be a year-long challenge! There is no hope of finishing off ALL of the series, but my goal is to finish at least one series a month, as well as to keep reading other books in various series.Author List:

I am going to keep on with this spree, although I have so many series started that I don't think a year will quite do it! My goal is to kill off at least twelve series, and I have a good start so far. Now to continue the nefarious offing of series..... Okay, it's not nefarious but actually quite fun!

Nancy, I know it is your challenge and you can do what you like, but I am curious about why you are using more points than needed for your levels?The minimum number to complete a level is 100 along with at least one series killed.
If your goal was 12 levels, you over used 80 points on level 11 that you could have applied towards level 12. Am I reading it wrong?

Haha - No, Cherie, You are quite right! I just started reading a whole lot of books from in the middle of different series - none that were right at the end of one and that I could finish easily - so I finally just picked up one that I had recently gotten that was the last one in a very long series (23 books in it, actually)!! I don't intend to have all those points, necessarily, but I tend to read whatever I am in the mood for, and sometimes that is not near the end of a series that I can quickly finish, so they just keep adding up. What I was actually planning, after accumulating all those points for that level, was to pick up a book that was from a short series and just finish it off - did I do that? Of course not - lol! I picked up the last one in a series of 23!!
But that is my reading style - picking up whatever I feel like, having 6 or 7 books started at the same time, and finishing whichever one I am in the mood for at the moment I am reading! Of course I have almost 200 series going, so I am not going to run out in the near future - ssh....that isn't even counting all the new series I keep adding by seeing what everybody else is reading on here!!
My new goal is 25 series by year's end, so we will see if I can do that!
Oh, that makes me feel better! I understand now though. I am so glad that you are enjoying the series and books you are reading too. If you look at my challeng list, it has been growing exponentially, but I did not track what I actually started with. I should have made a seperate list of series added since the challenge started. I have been managing my levels with the minimum number of points, but it is probably keeping me from enjoying the freedom of reading what I want and when, vs what has to be done for that specific level. I did not do enough research with the level I am on currently, and have had to adjust and move books. The theme levels have backfired a little but the books have been great. I will kill two series in one level for the first time, but they are trilogies and had to be read in a specific order, which I did not realize at first. Then, I can concentrate in getting some larger series wrapped up. I am not sure how many levels I will get to by year's end but it has been lots of fun to actually track things. Revisiting old series books has been fun too.

If you look at my challeng list, it has been growing exponent..."I know what you mean about enjoying the older series - there were several that I thought I was totally caught up on, until I looked on fictfact.com and realized that I had missed one or two here and there. It is really satisfying to go back and pick up those and be truly done.
I don't know whose idea this series challenge was, but I salute you. This is great fun!!
