Hi! I am looking for this book which is in a series. They all have similar covers, mostly white background, with only the main character and the title. I made a lousy drawing to the best of my memory of the character. I remember him to be drawn quite blocky.

It is a picture book, so there are only a few words per page. I remember the drawings but not the words.

It should be published before the 90s.

The king is the main character, he is short, a child and doesn't like to wake up for school, I think.

He wears the crown.

He has a butler.

That's all I remember, thank you!!

I thought of Prince Bertram the Bad, but that isn't a series and might be too colorful.

Well, the picture you drew put me in mind of the King Rollo books by David McKee. He has a beard but is, in all other ways, a child.

Tony Ross's Little Princess series is in a similar vein.
