Good morning All,

What shall we we read in March? I'm now accepting nominations for our Group Reads. Send in your nomination for one work published prior to 1980 and one published after 1980. Nominations will remain open for five days or until six nominations are received in each category, which ever occurs first.

As always, happy reading--

Lawyer Stevens

Yes, indeed. This is a novel about slavery. Set on a tobacco plantation in the 1860s. Thank you, Jane. The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates is nominated Post-1980.

I'm surprised that no one has thought to suggest David Sedaris before now. I find him hysterical. When he talks about his childhood there is a definite southern feel to it.

message 13: by Kimberlee (new)

Kimberlee | 97 comments The Little Friend by Donna Tartt for post 1980.
Reflections of a Golden Eye by Carson McCullers for pre 1980.
