It would be great if you could tell me the chapter/page where the quote is in.

Kelly Brigid ♡ ...you'd know exactly what page it is, if you read The Death cure.

Emma In this book Newt explains it on page 99, but if you read the Death Cure you sure as hell would know that was all a bunch of klunk. Page 255 of the Death Cure.

My heart is actually broken.

molaffle Page 255 of The Death Cure. Cry your heart out.

I know :'(

Kelly Brigid ♡ I don't think I have the heart to go in my book and find the quote :'(

Howie Newt used to be a Runner, and one time he climbed up the ivy that scales the walls, jumped off and tried to kill himself. He failed, and suffered a limp for the rest of his life.

In the movie, Newt has no visible limp... at all.

Emma He does actually, you just have to look out for it.

Howie When the Grievers invaded the Glade, Newt ran as fast as anybody else. I guess maybe I didn't watch Newt that intently.

Kelly Brigid ♡ Watch him at Thomas and Teresa's "banishing" part. You can see it there.

Emma And when they're running for the griever hole all together at the end.

Howie OK, thanks, Kelly.

Emma But we get what you mean. I didn't notice it at all the first... 5 or 6 times I saw it. Then I watched this interview with Wes Ball, and the interviewer asked why Newts limp wasn't in the movie and Wes said that it was, you just have to look for it. Then the next 2 times I watched the movie I noticed it, and I notice all the time now :)

anya it's sooooo sad when newt said that he tried to kill himself, all because of WICKED. :( plus he's my favorite character.

Page 99, can't find it.

random name I noticed Newt's limp in the movie the first time I watched it. o-o

marlen Yall the reason why Newt’s limp IS in the movie is because Thomas Brodie-Sangster put a rock in his shoe to remind himself that Newt has a limp. If that’s not full on determination to get Newt right, I don’t know life anymore. Obviously in some scenes, Thomas probably forgot but it was great that he felt the need to actually add that in.
