I had never thought of used e.books or controversary that could arise around them

I hadn't thought of that, I often loan or give away my paperbacks if I know I am never going to read them again, I also buy a lot from charity shops and my library, share the joy I always think.
That is a very good point David, my daughter is an author (She is featured on Goodreads) and some of her books are e.books so it would cost her royalties if they were just passed on instead of being bought.
