Afsana (afsanaz) I always mean to re-read my old books but I never had a chance as I keep buying more so my challenge is to reread all my books. I have over 350+ books so won't list but reread them by author alphabetically and set a period of time in which to read them.

Afsana (afsanaz) Book: Split second
Started: 18th September 2009
Ended:20th September 2009

Review

This book was great-I had read it ages ago and so the majority of the book was like new-completly forgotten how it ended

I am really pleased that I re read it.

It is all about maggie o'dell and a seriel killer called Albert Stucky. he plays mental games with her to scare her and she is on the edge trying to solve them

An amazing idea for a seriel killer to kill people based soley on maggie's talking to them however brief . To make her feel responsible and isolated.

How would you feel if someone died just because they were your waitress when you went to a restaurant!!! Split Second (Maggie O'Dell Novels) (Paperback) by Alex Kava

I really enjoyed rereading this and was good that I did.

It reminded me of the background and I remember that by the time I read the later ones some of the finer points had bee forgotten!!.

clever killer to always have a patsy and and he has gotten away with it. so now an inncocent man is in trouble.

That eddie gillick is some piece of work

Looking forward to rereading the others and think that reading the series one ofter the other keeps things in your mind fresh and easy to follow.

Book Review

This was another great book from Alex Kava which could be read on its own without the previous ones being read.

Maggie as favour to Gwen is in search of one of her patients and in true O'Dell fashion ends up involved in another grisouly seriel killer adventure

I enjoyed this one but not as much as the first 2 in the series.

this seem to be the murders occuring and the police bafffeled and only at the end does the true culprits made aware .

But it does help us think is murder acceptable in certain circumstances and would we stop a vigilante killing sex offenders when legally noone else can stop them

Afsana (afsanaz) Book: Whitewash
Started: 22nd November 2009

Review

I enjoyed this book

this is a good book for those who love conspiracies. There is a an assasin, environment issues, politics

The book is in the third person butis relating what is happing to three people:-

1) the scientist who works in a energy plant
2) The senators aide
3) The terrorist

I enjoyed reading and though it was a reread it was still enjoyable.

I enjoyed this book Though it was a reread.
If looked at on its own its a great story with and a surprise ending

Who would have thought that someone could be so delusional and so murderous.

If I was to consider it after reading all the others then would say its follows formuler and you knew it would be someone close though I was (having forgotten what actually happened) Thought it was somene else . It was near the end I remembered how faith actually died

But this was one of her earlier books I think so readers may not have found it as obvious

This is a reread and well worth the 2nd reread

The first time I was interested in what was said but didn't really think about what was brought up re pagenisms and the new/old testement etc..

Now I am interested in how much of that is fact and fiction

i also liked how they came up with the answers to the riddles

The book was good and the only reason took so long is because i have hit a reading block

The concept of why the cardinals were murdered was great and imaginative and Also you can emphasis hoow gutted the carmelogo would have been when he realised how he had misunderstood the pope and had killed the one person who tru;y loved and cared for him and was his father

This was an interesting idea

one thing I found strange was Ensei who due to the nuclear weapons used in japan mum died, he was deformed which led to being abandoned. He hated the usa untill he read about pearl harbour etc.. but then accepted it!! I was surprised because the deaths in pearl harbour and war could not be as bad the deaths due to bombings and the illness and death afterwards from radiation.

e then works for the gov and then is falsly accused of treason here he can not work and he still dies trying to protect the usa from his misguided attempt to stop universal surviellance.

but was a good read and enjoyed

Review:

This was a grood book and thoroughly enjoyd it. There were moments that were sad and felt for the characters.

This is a reread for me and I had originally read this a few yrs back and over the yrs I reread the ending as that was sad and in a while resolved the events in the book.

Mirror image is a book about twins and their similarities and differences and how the war, women suffrages effected their lives and what women did in those times

Would reccomend this book

I enjoyed reading this book. Though I felt that the ending had something more to be desired as we never really got an explanation for ehy all of it happened.

Some aliens decided that earth was bad and wanted it to be redone? and for some reason they couldn't harm children but set about getting humans to do it

Also few extra unnessary details but generally an ok book

I enjoyed this one seemed lighter and more whimsical then his earlier outright horror

It was an interesting tale of a guy who had an intersting birth and the then through 5 eventful days that have been predicted by his grandfather on the day that he was born which was the same moment he died.

I enjoyed reading this the first time but for some reason this time it was a bit slow going!

Time travel such a confusing concept and it does make you wonder what would have happened if what he had stated hadoccured and brings the hoorror alive of what would have happened if Hitler won the war

This was a great book by koontz. It kept you wondering what is going on and gave you a view of what it would be like without emotions and what too much tinkering with genes may lead to

Even one of the baddies weren't really bad but just helpless untill he decided he had to act.

Well worth a read
