SOLVED. Children's Picture Book with a Fuzzy/Furry Cover (unknown plot!). [s]

My sister is longing to give her own son the book she remembers loving as a child. The problem is, she can't remember anything about the plot of the story itself. She only remembers that this specific children's/picture book had a cover that was fuzzy/furry and possibly had a cutout that revealed the title. She suggests that the story was possibly set in the forest, although she can't say for sure. My sisters and I were born between 1985 and 1990.

Was it an imitation of real fur? This classic book from 1946, for example, has a "fur edition", which sounds pretty funny!
