Well, I've started - has anyone else?

Six chapters in and my early feeling is this is going to be a DNF for me. I just don't like it.

The book is written in present tense, which drives me up the wall and the titular main character is frustrating. I knew going into this he (view spoiler)[is a nameless, wordless protagonist, but the writer's apparent decision to never let us into this guy's head means I'm finding it hard to be interested or concerned about him. (hide spoiler)]

I haven't started it yet. It sounds like it may not be my thing either.

I liked this one and found it really original. It was the best book in the series IMO though so if you're struggling out of the gate....
