If we were to do 10.1, A Random Trip Back in Time, should we re-roll the dice to get a new number or does it need to match the number we originally used?Really interesting task, by the way! :)
Please verify this book qualifies ...Task 5.5 - Calliope - POETRY on main page
-AND-
Task 10.7 - You can do it! - HEALTH on main page

Good question! You can roll again or use your same number. Just make sure to state what you rolled. I'll ask to get this added to the description.
Book Concierge wrote: "I'm assuming the book for THIS task can NOT also be used for either of the tasks we identify ..."Since books can only be used for one task per challenge rules, that is correct.

"I see poetry and health! Go for it!
I've added some books from my own shelves to the approved books list if you all need inspiration or a place to start!
Locking in genres for Three Men in a Boat for 10.4 Let's Go (Travel) and 5.5 Thalia (Humor), please and thanks!
Teresa Jo wrote: "Locking in genres for Three Men in a Boat for 10.4 Let's Go (Travel) and 5.5 Thalia (Humor), please and thanks!"Good to go, Teresa!
I think I can read:Love Over Scotland
Author Alexander McCall Smith has been interviewed by Goodreads, so that suits task 10.9
And book has been shelved by 28 users for "Humor", which is for task 5.5

Yep on both counts!
Bea wrote: "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn would meet both 5.2 (Genre = Historical Fiction) and 5.6 (found on list)"It sure does!
Great idea! It's given me a 20 point spot for one of my long books, Edge of Eternity (interview and historical fiction). Thanks!
Fun task :) If I could have remembered that "Romance" was not one of the 5/10 point tasks... lol. I swear I was like FOUND ONE! about eight times and every time I had forgotten again that I wasn't looking for romance genre. Apparently it was a long day at work. :PI've got The Fiery Heart -- Richelle Mead. It's #108 on (5.6) crying list and Richelle Mead was one of the (10.9) author interviews (page 4).
This is great, because I've been meaning to catch up in this series for awhile! Thanks!

I still haven't started that series yet, even though I've been meaning to forever! I hope you enjoy it!
Meg wrote: "Cool task! I am going to read Between Shades of Gray - historical (5.2) and set in Lithuania (10.3)"That's on my TBR! I hope you like it. :)
I'd like to have Against the Tide verified as both Historical Fiction (5.2) and Inspirational (5.7), please, since Inspirational is the last entry on this page.Thanks.
Teri-k wrote: "I'd like to have Against the Tide verified as both Historical Fiction (5.2) and Inspirational (5.7), please, since Inspirational is the last entry on this page.Thanks."
I see both there, so you're good!

Trish wrote: "Can you use 5.10 as one of the choices? Which is read a book of your choice? Or is that too easy?"Read ONE book that fits the requirements for two of this season's 5- or 10-point tasks (excluding 5.10).
Trish wrote: "Can you use 5.10 as one of the choices? Which is read a book of your choice? Or is that too easy?"No. The requirement says excluding 5.10.
I'm going to go with Allegiant and finally finish it! It's been languishing with a bookmark 1/3 of the way through for two seasons now!5.6 - #8 on the Ugly Crying list and 10.9 - Veronica Roth interviewed on pg. 3

I'm a bit scared of reading it actually - it sounds like it is going to be super sad - and I am a huge crybaby!
Hello! I decided to read An Anthropologist on Mars: Seven Paradoxical Tales. It has the word "Mars" in the title (task 5.9), and I'd like to have it verified for "Health" (task 10.7).Thank you!
Angie wrote: "Trish wrote: "Can you use 5.10 as one of the choices? Which is read a book of your choice? Or is that too easy?"No. The requirement says excluding 5.10."
Note to self - read the task properly. Sigh.
How about The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street? It works for task 5.2 because it has Historical Fiction on its page, and it has 505 pages, which would qualify it for task 10.2.
Thanks!!
Cindie

Would Skipping Christmas work for 5.5 Thalia - humor genre and 10.1 Random Trip in Time. I generated an 11 which would be a book published in 2001.

Since I never try to finish all of the tasks, I tend to focus on knocking out the higher points first. Most of the time that means skipping the 5 and 10 point tasks unless there's a book I really want to read which fits. So, in the spirit of giving these lower value tasks a chance, I have a challenge for you!
Read ONE book that fits the requirements for two of this season's 5- or 10-point tasks (excluding 5.10).
Examples: Wicked Girls has main page genres of Poetry (task 5.1) AND Historical Fiction (task 5.2).
The Fault in Our Stars has a celestial body in the title (task 5.9) and was reviewed on Blogging for a Good Book (task 10.10).
Required: Identify the 2 tasks you used and include any required posting information for each.
NOTE: If you use task 10.1 (A Random Trip Back in Time) you may use the same number you rolled for the individual task or roll again. You must include the number you rolled when you post.
