Winter: Quest to Save Christmas!

Single Player - Quest to Save Christmas!

Novel Kingdom is a small kingdom on the edge of Lake Lexicon. It is ruled by the benevolent Queen Skye.


In the forest just outside Novel Kingdom lives a little very bad goblin. This little goblin only receives coal in his stocking due to his hi-jinks and tomfoolery. He decides that he wants to steal all the joy of Christmas from Novel Kingdom so everyone is just as grumpy. He sneaks up to the North Pole and sabotages Santa's whole operation!

HELP SAVE CHRISTMAS!

For each quest you complete you not only help towards saving Christmas for all of Novel Kingdom's citizens but you also receive shiny golden coins to store in your treasure chest. Books with a date read of December 2, 2014, to January 30, 2015 may be used to complete these quests. Each book may only count towards one completion criteria. Each quest may only be completed once for coins.

Mortimer the elf has gone missing! He was last seen on his way to the little elves room last Tuesday. Lean manufacturing and specialization have increased drastically in the North Pole and he is the only one who knows how to carve the faces of rocking horses. Help find him!

The chimney in the main sleeping area has broken. Smoke is billowing into the bedrooms. Elves are sleeping in the kitchen and closets! With so much upheaval all the elves are sleepy and production rates are down. Repair the broken chimney so the elves can get their recommended 7.62 hours of sleep per night.

This is the single player quest so you can just claim a post and modify it for each book you read or when you finish a book. Usually people keep one post that they update as they go and then post a "Finished!" post at the end once they're done to gain the admiration and kudos of everyone else :)

It was slightly late at night when that quest got written :). Just participate in a Book of the Month read (the BOM book is the book for that one). The "uncover hidden depths" is a reference to learning about the book with others (or uncovering ones painted nose).

How does the character in the book act? I've also checked the shelves people put them on for bad-boys or bad-boy. It's somewhat of a judgement call.

Um, I'm not really sure, since I haven't read it yet, and I avoid reading summaries at all costs until after reading the book (I like to be surprised). I just know that rogue or outlaw was in the title. But if they don't count, I'm sure I can find something in my bedroom, which is full of around 2,500 books.

I think that might be stretching it. I've been trying to use the words to describe where you might find the elf (i.e. Down a hole, or north of the castle). Across would work but cross would be hard.
