Season 1, 13 episodes done!

Loved it! What a rollercoaster!! The finale delivered big time. It was fast paced, emotional and very, very entertaining.

I don't know how Cole does it! but the vodoo shit is working. 13 books and no disappointments. Steady from book 1 and it grows with each episode. I believe the TV Show format makes it work.

Mal and Seong- Jae have become one my favorite couples and characters. The character growth is amazing. By the time we get to book 13, the characters

Getting the last two books in this season sooner than expected was the perfect early birthday present for me, although I have to admit that I doubted at times here I would be alive to see that day. I just knew that this grand finale of Season #1 would stretch me to the limit - well, not onlyme, obviously - , but I also knew that now - a pounding heart, ten fingernails bitten to the quick

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love Cole McCade’s writing but of all his books/series, Criminal Intentions has been something else: he has created pure crack and without a whimper in sight, he sends off this season with no shortage of bangs.

description A threshold had been crossed, and there was no turning back.”

Edge-of-your-seat reading, the intensity of this finale was incredible. All hell has broken loose in Baltimore, tensions are running sky high and it’s not just Seong-Jae and Mal
I have no words to describe how fantabulous this was. I literally couldn't put it down! It was such a rush to follow Seong-Jae while he was looking for Malcolm. And finally the mystery of Sila was uncovered. With every word Seong-Jae's past was reconstructed, and the picture of a vulnerable young man, so taken by an innocent beautiful face that housed malicious vindictive monster, emerged. It kept getting more intense, the ingenious planning and sheer volume of machinations were astounding. I ...more

Okay, quick story time: At midnight, I went to get this off KU and then it said "Sorry, there's been an error! Rest assured we are trying everything we can to fix it blah blah blahhh" and I was like "WHAT" and so I went back, tried again. Exited Amazon and clicked again, tried again. It did it again. I did this several times and it wasn't working. I even went like "are you fucking kidding me?!" Then I was just like "fuck it, I love this series, I can pay 3 bucks for the season finale" so I did,

Holy carp! Reading this episode, I was performing the equivalent of peeking through my fingers at a scary movie, picking up and then putting this back down, screaming “no, no, no”! The culmination of events described in book one took me on a rollercoaster of fearful anticipation and stunned disbelief. I do wish that Malcolm and Seong-Jae were given some more intimate time together but they do reach one milestone finally. Some questions are resolved around Seong-Jae and Sila’s
Since it worked out that I didn't get to read part 1 til this had released too, I raced to read this right after I finshed the first part. I finished at 1 am......with my alarm set for 4:45 am for work. I'm sure it surprises no one that I overslept.

I'm seriously surprised that I survived this last episode. I know damn well there was quite a long period of time that I forgot to breathe! Everything I feared happened. The biggest reason it didn't work like it was supposed to is

Words...I has none so I'm off looking for some...full review to follow as soon as I find them...soon I hope...

Thankfully this is only the season one finale...

and not the series...

Back in July of 2018 this series came across my radar when the blog that I review for was asked if anyone would be interested in reviewing the first episode of a new series entitled 'Criminal Intentions' being someone who enjoys a good crime drama I decided to check it out and I was blown away, hooked, wanted more and

What a fabulous end to the first season. I adore Malcolm and Seong Jae and was glad to feel the reduction of pain once the truth emerged. I held my breath for the two books and finally a reprieve on closure. No spoilers here as the twists & turns are important in linking many things together. Loved it ...more

Soooooo - here’s to the big finale.
And a big finale it was!

I devoured the last episode in this epic series so fast, I’m sure my kindle started overheating from the speed I turned the pages.

Everything comes to a head.
And all the main protagonists get some kind of ‘closure’.
When I say ‘some kind’ and put ‘closure’ under inverted commas, I mean that with this being season 1, there are obviously some things (in the plot and the character and relationship development) left open for these

This was terrific.
I'm so shaken.
What was that?
So traumatized.
My heart. Trouble.
I'm gonna take a moment.
To get back from this.

<< You can never touch me again.
You will never touch him.
Not so long as he is mine.
And he will always, always be mine.>>

Review to come. My heart.
4.5 stars for this one and 5 big shiny stars for the series as a whole.

Terrific tension, nail-biting moments and thankfully most of the crew survived...even Sila the little git, although I fear he could talk his way out of a paper bag and is bound to use the information he seems to hold as a bargaining tool over mostly all the characters in the series for evil, not good. Glad Min-Zhe was actually able to help instead of hinder...thanks to Sade Marcus, and yes, I just knew that a certain police

Can you believe that 13 books and 1 novella later, season 1 is over?! And I’ve read them all!
Criminal Intentions is definitely the most engaging and entertaining book series I’ve encountered over the past years.
What a wild fun ride it was!

The conclusion to season 1 was fast-paced and exploding. It delivered lots of scenes I really wanted to see. However, I can’t help but feeling the second half was rushed. I wanted to see more of the “after” scenes. But

Cole Mccade loves to give me the creeps huh??
Intense finale but it was rushed which is crazy since Cole used up two prior books for mostly unnecessary filler but somehow the finale feels rushed to me. I’ll be gladly continuing to season two but Cole could have answered a few more questions in this.

Great finale for a great series!!!!
Season 1 ended with a big bang, with so many scenes I was hoping to see for a long time! I enjoyed almost the entire book, but the ending was a bit rushed. I wanted to see way more of the aftermath. But of course, season 2 will come, and I hope there will be more about that.

While most of this finale was great, I didn't find it's ending entirely satisfactory. Which, again, there will be more, but.... I'm also high-terrified of what's to come.

This is the last one in this series and all I can say is: WOW!

each book in this series was worth reading and not once got I bored, disappointed or got any other negative feelings for how the story developed.
each book was great - not only for the story but also the characters and the relationship.

I never read a series before where I could say for each book that I more than enjoyed it and that it would be worth 10 stars!

I really hope that the next season comes out soon. can't wait to get to read
Here we are. The season finale. I can’t believe it is over for now. And as I expected this season didn’t just go out with a bang, it went out with several huge booms and a couple of smaler bangs and a *lot* of emotional gut punches. That was the part I did expect, but I could not have expected all the rest of it. The explosive cases, the hell breaking loose all over Baltimore, how every little string was so expertly pulled to make all of the stories in the season come together to form such a ...more
I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Season 1 is officially over and what a ride! I was perched on my seat for the entirety of this episode; I don't think I breathed properly to be honest. Sila was just as cruel and horrifying as has been led up to, and I wanted nothing more than to wrap Mal and Seong-Jae up in a hug and let them be happy.

I really liked how so many characters from the earlier episodes came together in this book, and I can't wait to see more of

So I read that one in roughly... two hours? Bc I really really needed to see how a lot of things turned out.

They turned out pretty well.

So that's the last book in the season, but apparently McCade will be back with more in a few months. I'll look forward to it.

As for this book:
-Probably my favorite moments were the ones where Seong-jae was worried for Malcolm and fighting to save him. (view spoiler)

This was an amazing conclusion to season one. I loved the evolution of Malcolm and Yoon's characters. There was no instalove and instalust. Their relationship was definitely enemies to lovers. The enemies portion didn't last too long because each case drew them closer and closer together. Both of them was fighting what was inevitable. When they did come together, it was magic. Utter magic... This season concluded but it isn't the end. There are forces at work. I'm not sure what will transpire in ...more

And there it is. What. A. Ride!!!!! What a ride what a ride. Gosh. I’ve not been so hung over from a book in a while. I don’t know what to do with myself. And the preview ahhhhhhhhh.

So many characters came back, and still many lose ends that aren’t complete. I’m ready for next season bring it on.

Rest up y’all season two is going to be even better!

That was a wild ride. Malcolm and Seong Jae went through hell, I just hope whatever is thrown at them, they will try to face it together.
Also the No Name Man gives me the creeps... Sila is psychotic but at least there's some kind of logic to his craziness, the No Name Man though? I think he will be on a whole another level of crazy, the kind where there's no explanation and no understanding unless you're a psychotic killer.
I can't wait for season 2.

This was a brilliant finale of this season of the series. We had question answered, more revelations, action packed and I think my heart stopped several times. But most of all, we have Mal and Yoon in a happy..ish place. HFN. The author really outdone himself l, as usual and I can't wait for the next season
This was a phenomenal, pulse-pounding conclusion to a series that has been better than I ever could have envisioned when the author first announced his plans. Criminal Intentions hits on so many of my favorite things: great characters, exciting storylines, some suspense, palpable emotion, crazy chemistry, snark, balanced dialogue, and amazing writing that transports the reader. I loved how so many characters were involved in this episode and that I got such a satisfying end to season 1. If you ...more

What a season finale! There was plenty of excitement not just the with Mal & Seong-Jae, but with the burning city. It was really difficult for me to put down my kindle, I was like what's happening?! :O Than that end (always the ends) and not just the sneek peek into the next season, the last few chapters :O ... One thing is sure: the next season will be a rough one!
