And it seems the magical authorities agree, because they give me a choice: either I go to school to learn to control my crazy new magic, or they’ll take it away. Permanently.

Now if I can just survive the bitchy mean girls determined to take me down a peg, the mysterious attacks on students, the three hot-as-hell guys who don’t seem turned off by my prickly exterior, and the professor who makes me long for detention, maybe I’ll get out of here in one piece.

Finished (view spoiler)[This was a pretty good read. I could have done without some of the petty mean girl bullsh*t, but I’m not gonna lie that no matter the age some people never grow up. Not a fan of how much time is condensed with her getting to know the guys and us not being witness to that. Some steamy scenes but all have been with her professor, not that I’m complaining. Hopefully we get to see her bond with the other 3 guys more considering she’s not actually ready for a relationship, guess that puts them all in the friends with benefits category for now lol. Can’t wait to see how everyone ends up mastering their unpredictable magic, some of them are superhero type stuff! (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[Such villainy behavior announcing to the magic community he’s trying to kill unpredictable sand get rid of them. That whole arena turned into a war zone and that’s crazy. Everyone fighting one another is a big issue-how do u overcome something like this? It’s like racism, ppl hate and fear unpredictables for absolutely no reason so they treat them like shit and now apparently want them gone smh. Minor cliffhanger but definitely had some Harry Potter Goblet of Fire type challengers especially when the dragon popped out. Seems like the author is trying to gear the book away from the overall relationship and focus more on the plot. I mean it’s just odd that we’ve had drawn out sex scenes with her and Roman but all the other guys either are still waiting to pass some bases as the scene fades away or interruptions occur. I sorta stopped making notes and I flew through this... Side note: I was actually trying to fly through as I was losing interest at book 3. The audios were OK though and I managed to finish. If you read these we can chat more lol

I am definitely planning on getting to these this month! That sucks to hear that both of the series we buddy read from this author didn't work for you. I'm reading her Wolf Shifter series right now, and then after I'm finished with that, I'm probably going to read this series. I'm starting to feel a slump coming on, so it's taking me longer to finish books right now.

Yeah I can feel myself finding reasons to not read lately, mainly YouTube and so many documentaries it’s not funny. Think it doesn’t help as I’ve been reading things here and there that are too similar in plot and/or with unlikable interchangeable characters.

Soo I lied and said I was going to get to this series this month lol. I tried to read the first one and I just couldn't get into it and I think it's because I know it's 6 books long and I just feel like that is so unnecessary for an academy reverse harem to have that many books. I know myself enough that even if I have a lot of interest for the first one I will probably end up losing interest in the middle of the series somewhere because the series is just so long. It seems like this author is just known for making her series unnecessarily long.

Speaking of books that you don't enjoy, I have been living for the updates that you have been giving on the Pacific Prep books. Thanks for saving me from a series that I will probably never pick up now lol.
