Backstory ||
There is one rule that Rhydian Erick Carmichael has lived by since he was a child – always be one step ahead of the game. His family had disappeared into the human world to escape the Wiccan one, where they had been hunted to near extinction. His parents were cautious to the point of being psychotic – keeping under the radar was of the utmost importance. From the moment he was born, Rhydian and his parents never stopped moving. The longest he ever stayed in one town was for one year. When he was 3, Rhydian’s mother mysteriously disappeared. His father was just as befuddled, and the two assumed she had been intercepted by other Wiccans, who were envious of their exceptional powers. Rhydian and his father mourned her disappearance, but continued moving from state to state. Another 5 years later, and unexpected visitor showed up at their door in Connecticut. It was Rhydian’s mother, and a child who looked about 5 that had the Carmichael blonde hair but gunmetal gray eyes instead. Infuriated that she had cheated on him, Rhydian’s father ordered her and her bastard child out of their lives. She agreed with sad eyes, but with one condition; Roman, the bastard, was to stay with them, under their care. Rhydian chose this moment to pipe in. He saw the fright and sadness in Roman’s eyes and wanted to care for him. The three men parted ways with the mother and that was the last time they saw that woman.
Rhydian was eighteen and Roman fifteen when their father passed away from a terminal illness. The two brothers were very close and stayed together, vowing to their father that once they were strong enough, they would return to the Imperium and retake their rightful place as head household. As the years went by, Rhydian and Roman encountered few attackers and learnt as much as they could about their heritage. Rhydian was gifted with the power of the mind, but Roman received the more disappointing of gifts. As he is a hybrid, and spirit-originated at that, Roman developed several mental illnesses that compromised their international movement. Rhydian managed to support his younger sibling by attending law school and graduating at just 25. After becoming one of the most powerful lawyers in the United States, Rhydian finally decided he was ready to return to Candor Falls.

Evan was born into the bloodline of the Candolor Household. She's in fact a direct decent of Addalyn Candolor the first Candolor to be in the central government. This is a fact that she holds dear to her heart. It's what makes her want to be better person. When Evan was younger her mother would tell her all kinds of stories about her ancestors. They were so strange that she didn't know whether or not they were real. Nevertheless she believed the grand tale of the Candolor line.
At a young age Evan showed great restraint and control with her magic. Her mother said it ran in the family. A comment that Evan took pride in. She wanted more than anything to be just like her parents. Mostly because they were amazing leaders of the household. Her father and uncle Carlisle had a battle of wits and power to see who would be the head of the house. Her father had won.
She was an extremely adventurous kid growing up. She would constantly be covered in dirt and always go wandering off. Her parents would often worry if she'd come home at all. Her curious habits led to her parents keeping her locked up in her room. The only time she was allowed out was to eat or get home schooled. Evan hated being kept away from others. After a couple months of god awful solitude she begged her parents to let her back to regular school but they didn't believe she had learned her lesson so they said no.
On Evan's sixteenth birthday she made a risky move with her parents. She told them that if they didn't stop being over-protective that she would choose to practice dark magic instead of light which was the only kind her family had ever used. Luckily for her, her parents didn't want to risk calling her bluff. That year she went back to public school. She instantly regretted it. The other kids were mean to her because she didn't really fit in with anyone and because of her long solitude she wasn't that great at talking to people.
It wasn't until she graduated at the top of her class and got chosen for valedictorian that Evan finally felt happy again. Being home schooled had given her more time to learn and therefore she was way ahead of the others in her grade. It made her feel better knowing that she was better than them at one thing.
Going to college was a big step for Evan. Neither of her parents had went because they chose to run the family floral business. Evan was different. She had dreams, goals, ambitions. She wanted to get out of town and explore the world. More than anything she wanted to go to Venice. It was her biggest dream. At college Evan got her masters in botany and a bachelors degree in Occult Studies. She was immensely proud of herself and she hoped that her ancestors would be too. Sadly, before she got on a plane to Venice to go to her new job, she received a phone call from her aunt Ingrid that her parents had passed away in a car accident. The only survivor of the crash was her brother Adam. Without hesitation Evan went back home and didn't take the job in Venice. Now, she runs her fathers flower shop and the Candolar Household since her parents left her the house and she knows the most about their history and powers.

Backstory:
Lucas was born as a Benette Wiccan to his two parents Joseph and Anastasia Benette’s his father being the head of the Benette line even though they had plenty of family left. As a young child Lucas was surrounded by the love of his mother and father and the rest of his family. When Lucas was about four years old his younger sister Lilyan was born and he was ecstatic to be an older brother. Lucas and his sister Lily got along perfectly always sticking up for each other. Lucas has always been very protective of his little sister.
Among learning about their ancestral line Lucas and his sister were also taught how to use their magic to the best of their abilities and what being a true Benette was about. When Lucas was about 15 years old and Lily was 11 Lucas’s parents adopted a little girl of about 4 years old. She was a hybrid whose mother who was a Wiccan had died giving birth to her and whose father after having found out that she was more than just human gave her up. Their younger sister’s name was Callie. Callie lived with them for about 9 years and the family considered her to be apart of their family. After 9 years of living with the Benette’s when Callie was the age of 13 being a hybrid in this world got to be too much for her. It drove her crazy and made her depressed. She spent a year living her life like than and eventually she couldn’t handle that and she killed herself on an overdose of her medication.
Lucas and his family were extremely upset especially his younger sister Lily who went into a bout of depression herself. After a year of that their father thought it would be best to leave Candor Falls for a little bit to just relax. So they did. They moved to a small town for a year just west of Candor Falls about 20 minutes away so if anything important happened and their father as head of house was needed he’d be there when needed. It was while in this small town that his parents died in a house fire prompting Lily and himself to move back into their home in Candor Falls. The fire was set by a Wiccan named Cole Partsen who specialized in fire magic and had chosen dark magic something his sister Lily didn’t know when she started dating him. It was 8 months after they started dating that he set the house on fire. Why he did it? He was a psychopath plain and simple. Lucas and Lily were able to escape the fire and when they did Cole chased them through the woods mocking them and trying to catch them so he could kill them. He eventually caught up to Lily and in the fight the two of them got into Lily managed to kill him with a knife to the stomach, something she hadn’t meant to do.
Moving back the Candor Falls was hard for the both of them, but with Lucas as the new head of house he knew it was necessary and he refused to leave his sister behind. Even though Lucas wasn't the only one able to take over as head of the family line he was the one that everyone in the family agreed to make the head of the family line. So him and his sister (with the help of the rest of the family) worked together to keep the house standing and where it needs to be. They’ve both done their best to move on from their lives and the tragic incident that ended with their parents dead. They moved into their old house and aloud anyone else in their family that wanted to move in with them the chance to whereas before it had been the two of them, their parents and Callie.
