Thriller; First 50 pages; Third draft

Seeking beta reader for first 50 pages of my thriller set on a Castro assassination plot during Cuba Missile Crisis of 1962.
Here's the pitch:
First lieutenant Charlie Parnell has been coerced by CIA agents, whom he does not trust, into assassinating Fidel Castro. He has been pressured by a gangster, Meyer Lansky, whom he also does not trust, to retrieve from Cuba a million dollars worth of jewelry that Lansky left behind when he fled Castro. And his love life is crumbling, because he is betrayed by his girl friend, whom he did trust.
Traveling to Cuba under cover as a reporter for The Irish Times, Charlie is alone in a hostile land. He is put under the watch of Isabel Fernandez, who is ordered by Castro’s security chief to report on his every move. She quickly discovers that he is a CIA agent, not a newspaper reporter as he claims. Rather than turning him in, however, she seduces him and persuades him to take her with him when the CIA boat shows up to extract him from Cuba.
What will happen when he finally gets Fidel in the crosshairs of his sniper’s rifle? And, with the delicate missile negotiations between the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. likely to be undermined by an assassination at this point, will the CIA still want him to squeeze the trigger? What will happen if he finds the gangster’s jewels? And, if the CIA boat does show up for the extraction, will he really take Isabel with him?
