Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments This morning I set my 2020 reading goals and I started looking at the books I have read in the past decade. I realized how many authors I found because of Goodreads and got to thinking about my favorite books of the decade. I am working on my list and will share as soon as I know but I thought why not see what others have on their list.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 127 comments Isn't amazing how much goodreads can expand your horizons? I love it! I was such a snooty reader before and now I feel well rounded.

Also, it's been a blessing to find UF authors who are self pub that I would have missed out on before.

LastBreath (last_breath) | 242 comments Admittedly for a while I found Goodreads to be the bane of my reading experience. And not in a good way. Everytime I booted up the Recommendations I hoped it would help me out of a slump but it continously threw me duds. Suppose that's why I literally went ghost. Plus I had to come to terms with the Kate Daniel's series ending (felt like losing a best friend, go figure).

Then I became a Facebook follower of an author. She was on tour in London promoting her work when I asked about some badges and bookmarks she had on display. Fortunately she sent me some merchandise in exchange for an honest review. TBH I didn't like the book but it did refuel my love for reading. So here I am. Again. *insert smiley face*

Now that I've figured out how to use my Tag shelves properly it's made discovering books a lot easier (and having Kindle Unlimited) Not to mention our local library now has a larger range PNR/UF ebooks.

I think Moon Called is my favorite of the decade. It really changed my whole reading life.

LastBreath - Goodreads doesn't recommend good stuff to me very often either. I tend to pick up what other people in this group like and that works for me most of the time.

Sandra | 4734 comments I never look at the recommendations because they are terrible.

If a friend likes my sorta books, and they rave about a book, that's good enough for me. I've found some good ones that way.
