Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 11204 comments 25.6 -- Pamela3265's task: Let It Snow!

It seems like much of the U.S. was inundated with snow during the month of November. This task is inspired by the lyrics from “Let It Snow”.

Choose TWO different options below and read a book that meets the requirements for EACH option. This is a TWO book task.
REQUIRED: State which options you chose when you post.

Option A – “Let it snow”: Read a book whose author’s initials can be found in the song title “LET IT SNOW”.The initials for only the first and last names count for this task. Middle initials may be ignored. Letters can only be used as many times as they appear in “LET IT SNOW,” for example: an author with the initials TT will work but SS will not.

Option B – “The fire is so delightful…”: Read a book that has FIRE intact in the book title or subtitle. Ex: The Firefly Dance, A Firefighter in the Family, Catching Fire

Option C – “As long as you love me so…”: Read a book with Romance listed as a genre on the book’s main page. Embedded genres, such as Historical Romance or Paranormal Romance, will also work.

Option D – “All the way home I’ll be warm…”: Read a book that has an individual dressed for winter on the cover.
Ex. Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah The Trouble With Mistletoe by Jennifer Snow Married by Christmas (Smoky Mountain Matches, #5) by Karen Kirst Let It Snow by John Green Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis Baby It's Cold Outside (Alaskan Nights, #1) by Addison Fox
REQUIRED: Include the cover when you post.

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 923 comments Could I get Romance genre noted for Touch by Natalia Jaster (which I'm thinking of moving here instead of where I was thinking of putting it. lol.)

Also just happy about Laini Taylor fitting the initials so I can cram more of her books in this season. :D

Thanks!

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Pamela, if I promise to read ALL 3 of these books and get them ALL verified for length. Can I read The Fetish Box, Part One: Open All Night - Romance 6 users, The Fetish Box, Part Two: What Escapes - Romance 8 users and The Fetish Box, Part Three: What Remains - Romance 5 users?

According to the rules:

3. Books must have at least 100 pages to be used for points in the SRC. This limit may be referenced as 100+.
Only plays or books of poetry may be combined to reach the 100 page minimum. Other genres of books must meet the 100+ page requirement on their own.

I'm going to have to say no.

Fiona (Titch) Hunt (titch) Pam, can I have The Letter - Sandra Owens? Which has Romance > Historical Romance 18 users and the author's initials are in: let it SnOw

This would work for either Option A or Option C. This is verified as romance.

message 26: by Melissa (new)

Melissa (balletbookworm) | 915 comments Hrrmmmm, ok.

To make sure I understand this...If I read The Elusive Bride by Stephanie Laurens that would fulfill this task because Romance is the top genre on the main page and S and L are in the Let It Snow song title?

message 27: by Paula (new)

Paula | 27 comments Hello! Let me see if I understand... Do we have to read ONE book that meets TWO of the options you gave? If I read Fire in the Blood by Irène Némirovsky, which fullfills option A (author initials I. N.) and B (word Fire in the title) will be ok? Thank you!

Teresa Jo (teresajo) | 246 comments This isn't a two book task? Oops, back to the planning.

OK, No Turning Back by Tiffany Snow should work for Options A (author's initials of TS) and C (Romance)?

This is a TWO BOOK TASK. All of the 25 and 30 point tasks are two book tasks.

Because the image is a silhouette, you really can't tell what he's wearing. I enlarged the book cover on Amazon and the strip hanging from his neck is part of the rope attached to the sled he's pulling. I'm going to have to say no on this one, sorry.
