Alice | 1 comments Hello! I am desperately trying to remember the name or author of a book I read about 11 years ago, which featured a young boy on a school trip to a museum being very interested in the Mayan sacrifice. When he first sees the mayan exhibition he is mentally transported back to a moment of sacrifice, where he is looking at the sun whilst wearing the skin of the last sacrifice. There's something about a magic Ankh amulet, and he goes back in time, and I think a boy from the Mayan period comes into modern day times too. There's definitely a part about sacrifice, and lots of detail about mayan culture. I vaguely remember it having a yellow cover, if that helps at all! It's a children's book, probably for ages around 10-12; I read it when I was 11. Sorry this is so vague! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) Not the answer, but there's a similar work called 'Find the Feathered Serpent' written by Ed McBain of '87th Precinct' fame. He used a pseudonym to pen a fun little kid's tale. Go figure!
