9650 this year. Hi, Ana, wow 3000 pages in one month!? That's impressive. Anyway, how do you find the pages per month!?

Hi Kandice thanks for reply, but what I meant is how to find the pages per month, not the all year pages. Or you find it by subtracting your last mark!?
I always add them manually, based on the dates of my reviews. As.far as iknow there isnt an autimatic way, just like you cant see how many books.per month, gotta look it up.
Sorry for the messy writing, i am on phone.

I'm at 5218 for August. I think GR does not add re-reads page counts to your total, because when I took the time to manually add up this month I noticed I should be waaay farther along. Does anyone know?
I confirm, GR doesn't take into account re-reads. If you want them to appear, you can just add another edition of the book you are reading.
Can I ask what average Hour/reading time you spend a day!? As for me I read about 3 or 4 hours minimum each day. A lot more at weekends though.
I listen to an audio book whenever I ma in my car alone, but other than that I am lucky to get any more than 2 hours a day. Occasionally I'll get a chunk of 4, but not often.
Wow 3 to 4 hours is a lot! I am a pretty slow reader. Between waiting on bus stops and what I read before bedtime I would say no more than an hour and a half per day. But when I can't sleep in the middle of the night I will probably read for an hour or two. Beats the alternative of staring at the ceiling, heh.
How can you all even find so much time for reading? Myself, I'm happy if I can grab 30-60 min in a day (and not even all days). But I do travel a lot, and I do most of my reading when that happen. For example, I just had 5.5 + 6 + 5 hours of train in these last 4 days, which gave me a lot of time to read.
So basically, the number of pages I can read is really dependent on the time I pass on the road.
I read mostly when waiting for the bus on bus stops and in the morning i read while on the bus as well, since my stomach is empty I won't get sick.
Then if I am lucky I go to bed early and manage to read for close to an hour or so.
Adi! :D *hugs*

Well, I asked because it surprised me you read so much pages in the year.Usually I read during commuter which takes about 1 hour and I read before sleep plus 1 or 2 hours more. That's a total of 3 to 4 hours daily. I read a lot more at weekends. But the total pages don't match it the times you relate. I mean I am thinking I am a really slow reader then... ^o^'
I think I read a little over a page a minute, but when something is beautifully written I read much slower because I reread phrases, flip back, etc. I also read comics/graphic novels much, much slower because I become enamored with the art.
Well, for books in French or "easy reads" in English (like chick-lit, etc.), I tend to have a rate of 1 page / min.For more complex books, I double that time, so 1 pages / 2 min.
Of course, it depends on the format of the book, but I have a preference for small paperbacks.
(yes, I like stats and did mesure my reading rate...)
I never mesured my reading rate but I belive it must be slower than that. Anyway I can identify with both your views, as I tend to read slower graphical novels and complex or foreign language books, as for light reads I tend to go faster on those but usually I don't read much of that kind of books.
According to GR I must had read the double by now to reach the goal. And with the hollidays gone by I'm not sure if I can.
Wow that's impressive Kandice. I just got my statistics for the year by GR. I read a total of 12,317 pages this year. That's not much compared with the numbers I see here and I expected to read a lot more than 60 books since I read about 100 last year. I guess I read more complex and thicker books this year compared to more graphic novels last year, even so... Anyway, I am convinced now I am definitivly a slow reader, but it has been a lot of fun so far! Did you got your statistic page already?
