PattyMacDotComma Aussie journalist, reporter, and writer Rick Morton bared his family's soul in his memoir One Hundred Years of Dirt. His childhood in far outback Queensland sounds like something from a couple of hundred years ago.

PamG (lynguy1) | 1025 comments I finished the last book on my June TBR today. Sorrow's Twin Sorrow's Twin (Demon in Exile, #3) by Rory Surtain by Rory Surtain is a coming of age paranormal fantasy and supernatural suspense novel with a medieval-like setting. This is a good versus evil story and is the third book in the series. In my opinion, this series must be read in order.

My 3 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

PattyMacDotComma Carry: A Memoir of Survival on Stolen Land, by Métis author Toni Jensen, is a collection of powerful essays and stories about dispossession, trafficking, gun violence and general abuse of and disregard for the First Nations peoples of the Americas.

Jensen has had quite a life and shares it, warts and all.

PamG (lynguy1) | 1025 comments I finished The One The One by John Marrs by John Marrs. This is a psychological thriller with a bit of science fiction. I received this book in a Goodreads discussion group giveaway. This had a great concept, but didn't live up to my expectations. However, many readers whose opinions I respect liked this a lot more than I did.
