Aindrea (the_book_monger) The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga

I just finished this book that's been sitting on my shelf for I don't even know how long. And it's definitely one of those books that you wonder why you never got around the reading it. It is a turn paging, gritty, account of life in India. After finishing the book, I added all of Aravind Adiga's books on my "Want to Read" list. I may not agree 100 percent with everything his character believes, but overall I enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking to broaden their horizons of life in another Country or simply wanting to read more from authors from a different country than their own.

Next on my list:
Sweep Volume 3 (Sweep, #7-9) by Cate Tiernan

PattyMacDotComma I've enjoyed all the Graham Brack novels I've read so far, and the second in the Master Mercurius historical mystery series is another winner. Untrue till Death takes place in the Netherlands in the 17th century, full of murder and intrigue with the author's trademark humour.

message 791: by Carrlene Ray (new)

Carrlene Ray Currently reading A Fire Bright and Burning. There are a lot of people who say that it’s similar to other fantasy books, but I’m new to fantasy and avid reading so hopefully I will find it interesting. Enjoying it so far, but there are so many characters that it’s hard to keep track! For those of you who are experienced readers, does it get easier to separate characters from one one another as you become a better reader? Any tips?
