In the mid 1980s I read a book about two friends. The book centered around a train depot and a magician. The magician was evil. It wasn’t a fantasy book. The cover was blue and I’m pretty sure the word magic was in the title. I’ve been searching for it for years and it is driving me crazy! That’s all I can remember about it.

I'm thinking it may be, but it's not the original cover I remember. It's the one with the building on the front.
