Lilah Risner | 5 comments Hey everybody, my name's Lilah, and I'm a huge reader. I am a sophomore in high school and my favorite genre to read is probably YA fiction. however, most YA books these days are filled with things no christian (like myself) should be reading, especially at such an early age. So, I decided to find a christian group so that I could still enjoy reading while keeping strong in my faith and not entertaining thoughts of the world. here are a couple of things about me:
-Im homeschooled
-Im the oldest of seven kids
-God has called me to be an evangelist, which I am
-I love playing music on my acoustic guitar, bass, and piano, as well as singing
-ive participated in multiple musicals
-I play Varsity softball for my local High-School
_I like to work out
-I believe Jesus is most important

I look forward to reading with you all!

J. Witcher | 2 comments Hello all,
My name is Thomas, but my friends call me Tommy.
I make my home in the North Georgia mountains. My two grandchildren live only a short distance away, and that’s great. I was an Air Force brat and a Vietnam Marine with two purple hearts, a police officer, and even a schoolteacher. (You can tell I’ve had trouble keeping jobs) I’m also a Christian and a reader and an author. I love mystery books and history, especially biographies.

Welcome, Tommy, and thank you for your varied service to our country and communities!

J. Witcher | 2 comments Thank you. I do have a question for you. I am a Christian and I am also an author, but none of my books are "preachy." I don't mean that in a bad way, because everyone needs good guidance in their lives, but there may be an occasional 'damn' or 'hell" in one of my books, so I've debated if I should even introduce them here. If you think not, I'd still appreciate being part of the group and maybe picking up some new authors to read.

You're welcome to share about your books here in our Introduce Yourself and Your Books thread, but I would give a warning that there are a couple of expletives in the one book. We don't promote that sort of language here in the group, as Ephesians 4:29 instructs us to refrain from such language.

We're very glad to have you join us. Let us know if you have further questions as you explore all our offered threads.

Joseph Chiodi | 4 comments Hello everyone,

My name is Joseph Chiodi. I'm a new GR author who lives in Cincinnati. Glad to be in this group as I am definitely a Christian. Looking forward to reading the comments on the various threads. Just published my first book - In God We Tru$t. It's a work of fiction about faith, money, and politics and considers the threat the new world order movement poses to Christians. It seems our voice is always being minimized or twisted. Anyway, it's nice to meet everyone. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

Joseph

Megan Bryant | 1 comments Hello! My name is Megan. I am mom to three rambunctious boys and wife for almost 10 years. I get wrapped up in responsibilities, but my favorite way to unwind is reading and journaling with mug of hot tea as big as my face. I have been reading a good amount of Christian non-fiction and am looking forward to getting back into some encouraging, clean fiction reading. I am excited to peek at what everyone is reading and see if I can find some great reads at my library or book store.

Welcome, Megan! I love that you have a mug as big as your face. How fun! Does the tea stay hot the whole time? I would get so sidetracked and end up popping it in either the microwave to reheat or the fridge to chill.

Pamela Baker | 1 comments Hi, I’m Pamela Baker. I’m a retired software engineer, married for 36 years, and have two adult children and one dog. I read widely and review everything I read. I write Christian fiction. I’m always looking for recommendations for new Christian fiction books and often post my recommendations. Don’t worry about me posting links to my books, because I’m pursuing publication for the many manuscripts I’ve written. Ever heard of National Novel Writing Month?

message 678: by Joseph (new)

Joseph Chiodi | 4 comments Hi Pamela. Welcome to the group! My book “In God We Tru$t” is fiction, and describes a world where the US dollar has crashed and the new world order rises to power and controls the population through punitive taxation and policy, and the very existence of the Catholic Church is threatened. Spoiler alert: the Church survives through God’s providence. If this sounds interesting to you, I will be happy to send you a copy. If not, I hope you find something else here in the group!

Joseph Chiodi

Thankyou for letting me join in! I’m 33 and a homeschool mom of 5! I have many more recommendations, but those ought to get you branching out a bit. :)

My name is Michael Adam. I have recently self-published a book, Murder in the Choir Loft, a cozy Christian murder mystery. The whole experience is new to me and I am learning so much. I am told by YouTube and others that Goodreads social media is a good thing to be a part of. I have set up my profile, but have difficulty doing much else. How do I effectively use this platform to learn more about marketing, writing, and publishing my books?
